REVIEW: Copra Round 2

COPRA’S GONNA CLEAR THEIR NAME IN A BRUTAL RECKONING WITH THE FORCES THAT SCREWED THEM OVER AND SOLD THEM OUT.

Copra Round 2 continues the story-line about a pack of desperate weirdo fugitives who were recruited to be a team mercenaries  utilized for macro-revenge mission, who sometimes end up in other dimensions.

Aside from Michel“s interesting take, this is an interesting look at the interpersonal workings of the mercenary world. Fiffe has clearly done his research and know when to stay in his lane regarding story-telling, making the work more interesting and vivid.

The mercenary team led by Sonna,  consists of people from different backgrounds and varying personalities  just like Copra Round one this group is a fire team of people with weird names and weird intentions,  llyod, Benecio, Thomas Harrium aka Count Compota, Gracie Kriegskotte, Guthie Wir, Rax, Vincent , Xenia, Francis Castillo, Boomer,

This final chapter in the series serves as a fine conclusion to what has come before it. This isn“t a comic about character development or key moments, but instead brings to the table some broad yet interesting strokes.  The big talent that Michel Fiffe  was able to demonstrate here was world building through character development.

Though the art my not be for everyone, The art for Copra Round  is most likely the key center of gravity here.  The way the artists depict scenes from round one to round to two has evolved over time. Over the two books, two dominant styles have come to the forefront ”“ a form of expressionism and  modernism style of art.
