Review: Ice Cream Man #17

I confess that this is the first ICM comic that I read, it was on my list of comics to read because it caused very good critics, however I don’t know what it is about yet, I have read on the Internet ICM is about a series of stories with a touch of psychological thriller and this particular number is proof of that.

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it is the Ice Cream Man who flies over the skies of Urbanopolis with his perfect smile and his white and immaculate suit, all the inhabitants of the city love their hero but not the journalist Parker Paige who knows that smile hides something very bad, ICM occupies the titles of the main newspapers of the city, more important news are eclipsed with each heroic act of the ICM, but everything will change one day when ICM invites Parker to his Isolation Palace, however Parker’s doubts will be confirmed as she walks through each corridor of the enigmatic place, at the end Parker will feel like she is living inside a nightmare, or is it really a nightmare indeed?

Ice Cream Man # 17 is a complete anthology to Superman, particularly the famous and wonderful comic “All Star Superman”, Prince and Morazzo takes the classic story of the Man of Steel and turns it in a complete nightmare that discovers the twisted side of the ICM, wonderful reading to say the least!

Confieso que este es el primer comic de ICM que leo, estaba en mi lista de comics por leer ya que es un comic que ha provocado buenas crÃticas, sin embargo no se que trata aÃºn, por lo poco que he leÃdo en el Internet son una series de historias con un toque de thriller psicolÃ³gico y este nÃºmero en particular es muestra de ello.

Es un ave! Es un aviÃ³n! No, es el Ice Cream Man quien surca los cielos de Urbanopolis con su perfecta sonrisa y su blanco e inmaculado traje, todos los habitantes de la ciudad aman a su hÃ©roe pero no la audaz periodista Parker Paige quien sabe que esa sonrisa oculta algo malo pero no sabe que, ICM ocupa los titulares de los principales periÃ³dicos de la ciudad, noticias mÃ¡s importantes quedan eclipsados ante cada acto heroico del ICM, pero todo cambiarÃ¡ un dÃa en que ICM invita a Parker a su Isolation Palace, sin embargo las sospechas de Parker quedarÃ¡n confirmadas mientras camina por cada pasillo del enigmÃ¡tico lugar al final Parker sentirÃ¡ que vive una completa pesadilla, Â¿O se tratarÃ¡ de una verdadera pesadilla en realidad?

Ice Cream Man #17 es una completa antologÃa a Superman, particularmente la famosa y maravillosa “All Star Superman”, Prince y Morazzo convierten a la clÃ¡sica historia del Hombre de Acero en una terrifica historia que descubre el lado mÃ¡s oscuro y perverso del ICM, maravillosa por no decir menos.
