REVIEW: LUCIDSOUND LS1 HEADSET
The all plastic design is both comfortable for long sessions and durable enough that it’d probably endure multiple rage quit tosses. Open backed earphone so you can easily listen to your TV (or your loved one’s beckoning) and still hear chat audio. Plugs right into the 3.5mm on the bottom of your controller with a 1.2m cable more than long enough.
The single earcup boasts an impressive 50 mm speaker driver for clear chat audio. An adjustable microphone that delivers solid voice chat and feels more durable than some full fledged headsets I’ve used in the past. Easy Access Controls – a convenient quick mute by touching the cup and a volume control ring built around the cup. The led mute indicator on the mic is a nice quality of life touch, although the volume dial is a little touchy it works great. Extremely appealing price point! ($15.99USD on Amazon) MSRP: $24.99
Final thoughts: Although I prefer stereo headsets nowadays, this mono headset surprised me for what it delivered at such a cheap price point. Easy recommendation for younger gamers and the casual crowd.
