Review: Morgan’s Organs #3

It’s a tale of mystery, and adventure, but more importantly it’s a tale about who drew all the dicks on the wall. Morgan’s Organs is back for its third installment following it’s successful kickstarter campaign, and oh my hell has it been so worth the wait. Written by Daniel Brodie with pencils and inks by Robert Jennex and colors by Tyler Kelting, we are returned to the world of the organs which resides in Morgan. If you’ve never read any of these books, my first question which cavity have you been hiding under. The concept is simple: We all know that our organs help us to live, and each organ has its own function and purpose. So why not experience a story where those organs interact and have personalities of their own. That is the basis of Morgan’s Organs. You have Morgan, who is the character or vessel of where the organs reside. Bran the Brain, and Pepe the penis are constantly butting heads with each other about what Morgan should do with his life. Considering this is the third book in the series we are at, you’re going to want to go back and read books 1 & 2, and you won’t be disappointed.

Here we are at the third book. Bran the Brain wakes to realize that he has no idea what happened, and now there are dicks all over the wall. Who drew these dicks and what does it all mean? Well that’s what this book is all about. At no point in the story did I feel that there was any down time or slowing down in the story, but then again I’m so invested in this book that it’s kind of hard to not want to know who drew all the dicks. If you’re looking for a book with all sorts of innuendos and jokes, then this is the place for you.

The art work in this I would put on an equal plane of excellence with the writing as they truly do compliment each other. Jennex and Kelting’s talents bring this story to life, and if there isn’t a sense of appreciation for all the details that they add to the book, and yes are so many to list, then you’ll just have to read the book again, but I have no doubt that you’ll appreciate the hard work that has been put in to the creation of this book.

Overall this is a story that you can’t help but laugh while reading, and you’ll be wanting more.
