REVIEW: You’ve Been Cancelled TP
The ultra popular series You’ve Been Cancelled is now a graphic novel. That’s right, you now have all four issues of this bounty hunter led comic in one place. In a world where the most popular thing to watch is society voting to determine if someone has committed a crime or not, and if guilty they are “cancelled”. In this world being cancelled is much worse than being shunned from certain clicks of people. If they are cancelled, a group of bounty hunters called “cancellers” battle one another to be the one to kill the guilty person. Huge paydays for the winning bounty hunter.
This entire process is on display for the world to see. It is so popular the greater society forgets the corruption that has taken place that has brought about large portions of poverty. This means there are a lot of bounty hunters trying to get that payday. Roland Endo is the top bounty hunter and is ranked number one.
This is a must read series written by Curt Pires, writer of other hits like “It’s Only Teenage Wasteland”, “Indigo Children”, “Ward”, and “Olympia” to name a few.
The art is done by Kevin Castaniero who has worked on “Grit”, and “Thunder Child”.
You’ve Been Cancelled is a recommend for me. A mature reader title that is full of action and an incredible plot twist you will have to read for yourself in this new graphic novel.
