San Diego Fan Convention ENDS THE SUMMER WITH EXPLOSIVE EXCITEMENT

The return of the pop-culture and fan-based convention, “Fangaea ”“ Where Fandoms Join Forces for Fun,”“Â is coming back to San Diego in September!

FangaeaÂ (fan-JEE-uh) will be taking place on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15 to the Scottish Rite Center in Mission Valley, San Diego!

This exciting event will feature a diverse and inclusive range of fan and pop culture interests likeÂ anime,Â cosplay,Â science fiction,Â virtual reality,Â video games,Â comic books,Â Dungeons and Dragons,Â card games,Â martial arts,Â Steampunk, and so much more!

Fangaea“s programming activities will include:

AÂ Panel seriesÂ with fun topics for fans of anime, cosplay, steampunk, sci-fi, pirates, and other exciting fan realms!
AÂ Dynamic RoomÂ will have blocks of interactive and immersive experiences that change inside the room ”“ including a steampunk workshop, lightsaber combat training, Gundam model building, and anime karaoke!
Two entire rooms dedicated toÂ video gamesÂ andÂ tabletop gamesÂ and card games!
A special, custom-madeÂ Escape RoomÂ created by the best in the business!
AÂ Featured Artist RoomÂ with over 30 local artists showing their talent!
Virtual RealityÂ light saber games presented by 4DSci!
A full-sized, woodenÂ X-Wing FighterÂ made by the Starburner Galactic Courier Service!
AÂ Sci-Fi MuseumÂ presented by the Sci-Fi Coalition
A Japanese InspiredÂ Mochi CafÃ©Â with colorful maids serving and dancing like it was straight out of Tokyo!

Our special guests for the return of Fangaea will beÂ Bill KoppÂ (co-creator of “EEK! THE CAT,”“Â and producer of possibly the bloodiest cartoon ever made – the animated episode “The Third Pig”“ forÂ TALES FROM THE CRYPT); andÂ Joe Ochman, (who has acted in films, television, stage, commercials, video games, animation, and anime for almost forty years ”“including voice credits inÂ Naruto, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Digimon, Gundam Origins, JoJos Bizarre Adventure, Wolf“s Rain, Cowboy Bebop, , and many, many more).

Fangaea is an all-inclusive, safe, fan space for all ages. Tickets are on sale now, and there is a special children“s ticket for only $5 for kids under 12 and free for kids under 5!
