The Great IllusionThe terrifying movie ”The Great Illusion’ is guaranteed to keep you up at night. The film stars SELMA BLAIR in the last movie she shot before she announced that she is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, thus forwarding ‘Good Morning America’  and all US media to catapult her to an A list name, famed Toronto native GRAHAM GREENE, BILL BELLAMY, IRELAND BALDWIN, TOKALA BLACK ELK AND KENZIE DALTON.  Directed by 25 year old Venezuelan director, Maria Gabriela Cardenas, who was just 23 at the time she worked on this horror, written and produced along with her father, Oscar Cardenas,  the two left Venezuela for their own safety and seeking better artistic opportunities due to the great disturbances in their country. This psycho suspense horror/thriller is about a guilt-ridden FBI agent, who, stranded in the painful memory of the abduction of his sister, suffers from a rare condition known as Nyctophobia, an irrational fear of the dark, and will have to face off with the cunning serial killer who took her away.
