ThunderCats Trailblazes With Anticipated #2 & Ongoing Epic!

Dynamite’s heralded return of the ThunderCats to comic books is blazing into the new year, and fans can look forward to even more exciting news and a thrilling title as it continues momentum through the early year.

The ongoing saga created by Dynamite in partnership with Warner Bros. Global Consumer Products, trailblazes forward with issue #2 and beyond. This second issue also graces the cover once more of Diamond Comics Distributors’ Previews catalog, which allows fans to learn about so many great comics and collectibles coming out each month and preorder with their favorite retailers. The stunning lead cover by superstar David Nakayama is featured on the cover of the January Previews catalog for titles releasing in March.

“I’m really excited to keep the THUNDER rolling on this book,” said writer Declan Shalvey. “Issue #1 is a re-introduction to the iconic characters we all remember, but #2 will reveal even more about the character relationships, and developing the threats they will have to face. Also, an exciting reveal of a specific character! And Drew’s pages are poetry in motion, he’s clearly upping his game on this series and boy, it shows.”

Artist Drew Moss added, “I really love Declan’s storytelling and pacing. He has been creating moments that are going to grab readers and keep them coming back for more. After the events at the end of issue one, which shocked me when I read it, you are going to want to see how the ‘Cats deal with it. The most fun I’ve had illustrating a book!

In addition to the story by Shalvey, Moss, and company, ThunderCats #2 features covers by David Nakayama, Lucio Parrillo, Jae Lee, as well as ones by Shalvey and Moss.

THUNDERCATS #2 will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors’ January 2024 Previews catalog and slated for release in March 2024. Comic book fans are encouraged to preorder copies of the book with their local comic book retailers.
