The legend is stepping out of the shadows and it’s about to get bloody real.
Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution arm of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group, has officially locked down the VOD rights to the adventure-horror feature SQUATCH. And come March 10, 2026, North American audiences will be able to rent or own this feral nightmare across Digital HD, internet, cable, VOD, and satellite platforms. Clear your schedule.
At the heart of the story is Nick Peters, a man who’s lived his entire life without his estranged father. Raised in a small, working-class town by his mother, Nick’s world gets flipped when he unexpectedly inherits his father’s estate including a remote cabin buried deep in the northern wilderness. He wants nothing to do with it. No closure. No memories. Just walk away.
But fate and a crush have other plans.
Enter Cassie, a coworker Nick’s quietly pined for, who offers to make the trip with him. What starts as a simple weekend to tie up loose ends quickly spirals into something far darker. As they push deeper into an untamed world untouched by man, they discover the truth behind an American legend that’s done hiding.

And in SQUATCH, America’s monster comes to life.
The film is directed by Tom Chaney and written by Chaney and Bill Conger, with production handled by Chaney, Jerry Land, Lawrence Berman, Andrew Ruth, and Susan Chaney, and executive producers Scott Agge, Robert Chames, George Ziyadeh, and Charles Chaney. The cast brings the terror home with Jack Chaney as Nick Peters, Cassandra Schomer, Paige Weishuhn as Cassie, and Jacob Southwick delivering a physical, menacing presence as Squatch itself.
Director Tom Chaney didn’t mince words about the mission: Bigfoot is back in the cultural bloodstream, and it was time to drag the creature headfirst into full-blown horror. The goal? Build a fearless team and make a savage film that doesn’t blink.
Mission accomplished.
Freestyle Digital Media secured the deal directly with the filmmakers, alongside Glen Reynolds of Circus Road Films, ensuring this beast gets unleashed the right way.
