DC SHORTS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2025 IS UPON US
DC Shorts Presents 108 Short Films in an International Competition, Including 24 World, 6 US and 46 Washington, D.C. Premieres in 11 Showcases
The 22nd DC Shorts International Film Festival, one of the biggest competitive short film festivals, today announces its event, running September 04 – 06, 2025. This year’s selections include 24 world premieres, 14 East Coast, six US and 46 Washington, D.C. premieres with titles from countries including the Spain, Ireland, Canada, Japan, France, Australia, Hong Kong, the Netherlands and more, vying for their Showcase Awards, with additional awards for Best In Show, Cinematography and Performance – and of course, the “Audience Award” selected by YOU, the viewer!
The full slate of films for the 22nd edition of the DC Shorts International Film Festival have already been announced with 11 showcase screenings over two locations: Crescendo Studios, in Falls Church, Virginia and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema DC, Bryant St. in Washington, D.C.
Each film screening will be followed by a guest moderated “Filmmaker Discussion” with the filmmakers from the showcase that are in attendance as an exclusive for the audience.
