EPIC PICTURES UNVEILS FIRST LOOK AT EXTENDED FEATURE VERSION OF DIE’CED

Epic Pictures Group’s horror label DREAD is pleased to announce that an extended feature version of DIE’CED wrapped filming last month and will be released in early 2025.

A teenage girl determined to discover what happened to her missing mom finds herself face to face with a deranged serial killer that was mistakenly released from an insane asylum on Halloween night.

Writer/Director Jeremy Rudd “When I first self-distributed DIEC’ED as a short indie project, we never imagined the overwhelming response it would receive. The film’s unsettling story and gory visuals resonated with horror fans worldwide, creating an incredible online buzz. That support was what ultimately caught the attention of Epic Pictures Group, a leader in horror filmmaking. Now, thanks to that passionate audience, DIEC’ED is getting a major upgrade. This new collaboration with Epic Pictures allows us to take the film to the next level, enhancing every element while staying true to its dark, twisted core. Fans can expect expanded scenes, sharper visuals, and even more tension-packed horror. I’m beyond excited to reintroduce DIEC’ED to the world on a larger scale and deliver a chilling experience that will stay with audiences long after watching the film.”

“With the extended feature version of DIE’CED, DREAD along with director Jeremy Rudd are taking the essence of the short film and amplifying it into an unrelenting horror experience.” said Patrick Ewald, Producer and CEO of Epic Pictures. “Fans can expect more kills, more gore, and a deeper dive into the twisted lore that made the original so captivating. And with Jason Brooks and Real Fiction Studios delivering jaw-dropping special effects, this is a horror spectacle you won’t want to miss.”

Writer/Director Jeremy Rudd continues “Working with Epic/Dread has truly been a dream come true. The entire team has been incredible to collaborate with! Looking back to this time last year, I never could have imagined being where I am today when my brother Nathan and i first started developing these characters. I’m thrilled to introduce something fresh to the horror genre—a villain and a final girl that audiences can connect with, alongside plenty of gore and innovative, never-before-seen kill scenes.”

The film stars Eden Campbell (Trilogy Fear Street 2, Stranger Things, They Reach and The Mortuary Collection), Jason Brooks (Friday the 13th: Vengeance, Friday the 13th Vengeance 2: Bloodlines), Nigel Vonas (Arrow, Falling Skies, Olympus, and Supernatural).

Written and directed by Jeremy Rudd (Burning Sands, The Fetus), DIE’CED is the full-length feature film expanded from the successful short film of the same title and follows the same game plan as Epic’s and Dread’s enormously successful THE JESTER franchise. Current plan is for Epic and Dread to put an entirely new DIE’CED film into production with a 2026 planned release.
