This captivating documentary program (30 minutes) uncovers the real-life origin story of comic books and superheroes, created by pioneering Jewish Americans from World War II to the present day. As colorful and thrilling as the comics themselves, this program is a must-see for comic lovers and history buffs!

Jewish creators played a foundational role in the comic book industry, dating back to the 1930s and 1940s. Iconic figures like Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the Jewish duo who created Superman, infused their characters with themes of social justice and the immigrant experience, reflecting their own backgrounds as children of Jewish immigrants.

“Bringing Jewish stories to life is at the heart of JLTV’s mission, and JEWCE is a perfect example of that.
