First-time filmmaker Keith Jardine’s independent, psychological dark horror film “Kill Me Again” opens on Friday, August 8, in select markets and on VOD (Amazon, Apple, iTunes).
Charlie (Fehr), a notorious serial killer known as the `Midnight Mangler,’ finds himself trapped reliving the same violent night at a roadside diner. Initially embracing his grisly urges, Charlie soon becomes desperate to escape the endless nightmare. As the bodies pile up and sanity unravels, he’ll try anything to break the cycle.
Kill Me Again asks the question, what if you kept reliving the same disturbing night over and over—until you finally got the ending right?
Distributed by Vertical Entertainment, the film reunites him with actor Brendan Fehr (Roswell, Final Destination). It has a cast that includes Raoul Max Trujillo (Dark Winds, Mayans M.C.) and Majandra Delfino (Roswell, Friends with Better Lives). Jardine’s shift from legendary UFC fighter to filmmaker came after his 2022 award-winning short “El Paso: 11:55” won “Best Crime Short” (among other awards) at the Independent Shorts awards in 2022.
“Kill Me Again” was produced by Broken Ear Productions, with Jardine serving as writer/director/producer along with Executive Producer Darren White.
Shot in 12 days in New Mexico, it features outstanding camera work from Cinematographer Juergen Heinemann (The Avengers, Better Call Saul), a thrilling script from Jardine, some amazing action/kill sequences, and a great performance from the cast – especially Brendan and Majandra (who has two roles).
This is a thriller/dark comedy that is psychological horror. A great film by a new filmmaker who has a legacy as an MMA star, but some super deep ideas for the big screen.
