In the space of five days the filmmakers will also celebrate the film’s European Premiere at this years Trieste Science+Fiction Festival and UK Premiere on November 2nd, at Pigeon Shrine FrightFest Halloween.

Real-life best friends Ruth Syratt and Megan Stevenson run a vintage bric-a-brac shop in Muswell Hill, London. Stumbling across a time machine, they embark on trips to the past to stock their emporium with quirky artefacts with no idea of the irreparable damage they’re causing to the fabric of the universe. After one excursion too many, an interdimensional fissure appears and Ruth must free Megan from The Unreason, a monstrous netherworld where a convoluted game is played for all eternity.

Writer and director, Chris Reading, said “We are delighted to premiere our mildly amusing film at Austin Film Festival, a city known for its comedy scene. We wanted to make a silly, but also heart warming sci-fi film, which is quintessentially of a place: Muswell Hill, North London. A film full of the small town, small life, little Britain absurdities which I find hilarious.”

Co-writers and producers, Anna-Elizabeth Shakespeare and Hillary Shakespeare said “We can’t wait to show the world just how dangerous time travel can be for two idiots. With Austin, Trieste Sci+Fi and FrightFest within a week, lucky we have the time machine to make all three premieres!”
