We Were Tomorrow was created by Madeleine Kennedy and was the first Australian independent series to ever launch during San Diego Comic-Con. The ambitious six-part series is released on Amazon Prime.
We Were Tomorrow was created by award-winning actress, producer, and writer, Madeleine Kennedy, known for her roles in Damaged, Boar, Thicker Than Water, Charlie’s Farm, and Dangerous Desires.
“Creating an independent sci-fi/fantasy drama television series with multiple time periods had never been done before in Australia. I brought together a great team and we scored an exceptional cast of esteemed and emerging actors who bring such electricity and flavour to their characters. We Were Tomorrow went on to become the first of its kind to launch during San Diego Comic at Comic Con Radio’s AfterTheCon,” added Kennedy.
Kennedy stars in the series with Chai Hansen (Night Sky, The Newsreader, The 100, Shadowhunters), Gyton Grantley (The Dressmaker, Underbelly, Balibo, House Husbands), Alicia Banit (Dance Academy, Summer Heights High, Neighbours, As the Bell Rings), Nikolai Nikolaeff (Demeter, Stranger Things S4, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Modern Warfare III), Desmond Chiam (Mortal Kombat 2, With Love, Partner Track, The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, The Shannara Chronicles), Christopher Kirby (Sky, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, The Matrix Reloaded, John Brady (Home and Away). The series is produced by Mad Lane Productions and is distributed by Glass House Distribution.
Glass House Distribution will take We Were Tomorrow to MIPCOM in October at Cannes.
