All Aboard the Crazy Train: Ozzy Osbourne Brings the Prince of Darkness to Halloween Horror Nights

Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort will unleash two original haunted houses inspired by Ozzy’s music, madness, legendary imagery, and 45-year solo career.

The Prince of Darkness is about to rule Halloween Horror Nights, and fam, this is not your typical celebrity tribute with a few guitars hanging on the wall and some fog rolling across the floor. Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are going all in with “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” two original haunted houses built around the music, imagery, and beautifully twisted imagination of one of heavy metal’s most influential icons.

The terror begins Friday, August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Guests will climb aboard the “Crazy Train” and travel through a living horror movie inspired by 45 years of Ozzy Osbourne’s solo career. Translation: the music will be loud, the visuals will be wicked, and somewhere in the darkness, a werewolf version of Ozzy will probably be having a better night than you.

Music from across Ozzy’s catalog will guide visitors through the experience, including tracks and imagery connected to Blizzard of Ozz, Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, No More Tears, Scream, and Ordinary Man. These are not simply albums being played in the background. Universal is turning the worlds surrounding those records into physical environments packed with creatures, dark fantasy, rock-and-roll insanity, and imagery pulled from the mind of the man who made darkness feel like a stadium anthem.

Sharon and Jack Osbourne said Ozzy never stopped searching for new ways to let fans experience his music and the strange worlds he created. They praised Halloween Horror Nights for capturing that spirit and building an attraction filled with recognizable moments inspired by his songs, career, and imagination.

“Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries, and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created,” Sharon and Jack Osbourne jointly stated. “Halloween Horror Nights has done an incredible job bringing that spirit to life. Walking through these haunted houses, you’ll recognize so many moments inspired by his music and imagination. It’s a wonderful tribute to Ozzy, and we hope fans have as much fun experiencing it as he would have had seeing it come together.”

At Universal Studios Hollywood, the journey begins in Birmingham, England, the birthplace of John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne. With “Crazy Train” leading the charge, guests will travel through key moments from his early life before entering the Osbourne Asylum, a nightmarish environment inspired by Diary of a Madman.

From there, the house will bring several of Ozzy’s most famous personas to life. Visitors will encounter Madman Ozzy, Werewolf Ozzy, and the full-blown Prince of Darkness, a title forever tied to his music, stage presence, and larger-than-life reputation.

John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, said Ozzy did more than help define heavy metal. He created a cultural force that influenced music, art, fashion, and horror for generations.

“Ozzy Osbourne didn’t just help define heavy metal, he created a cultural phenomenon that has influenced generations of music, art and horror,” Murdy said. “We previously had the privilege of collaborating with Ozzy and Black Sabbath, and this new haunted house is an opportunity to honor his extraordinary solo career.”

Inspired by all 13 of Ozzy’s solo albums, the Hollywood attraction promises to drag guests through the dark, surreal landscapes that helped establish him as the one and only Prince of Darkness.

Universal Orlando is taking a different route into the darkness. Guests will move through ancient ruins and sinister dungeons before boarding the “Crazy Train” for a ride into a fantasy realm inspired by the album covers and imagery of Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin, and Black Rain.

This version of the attraction will lean heavily into the darker sound and supernatural imagery that shaped the later stages of Ozzy’s career. The result sounds less like a traditional haunted house and more like somebody cracked open one of his album covers, kicked you inside, and told you to start running.

Mike Aiello, Senior Director of Entertainment Creative Development at Universal Orlando Resort, said the creative team worked with the Osbourne family to build an authentic experience that captures Ozzy’s personality and creative legacy.

“It was important for us to create an authentic experience that brings Ozzy’s creativity and personality to life in an eerily immersive new way,” Aiello said. “Fans will discover so many meaningful details, including a few Easter Eggs, as they navigate memorable dark and twisted moments inspired by his iconic musical career.”

The Orlando house completes the resort’s 2026 Halloween Horror Nights haunted-house lineup and will serve as a major tribute to Ozzy’s impact on heavy metal and horror culture.

Universal is also releasing limited-edition merchandise inspired by “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness.” The collection includes a themed T-shirt and an Ozzy acrylic figure designed to be added to the separately sold Infernal Carnival collectible display.

Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights at Universal Orlando Resort from Friday, August 28 through Sunday, November 1. The event runs at Universal Studios Hollywood from Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, November 1. Ozzy Osbourne spent his career turning darkness, madness, and rebellion into music that brought millions of fans together. Now Halloween Horror Nights is taking those sounds, characters, and unforgettable images and transforming them into something fans can physically walk through.

Long live the Prince of Darkness. Keep your hands inside the Crazy Train, watch out for the werewolf, and whatever you do, do not follow the voices coming from the asylum.
