Bullseye Joins the Bloodbath as Marvel’s “Big Guns” Crossover Gets Even Deadlier

Deadpool and the Punisher are already tearing the Marvel Universe apart, but the arrival of Bullseye and the truth behind Black Hole’s master plan are about to send this high-caliber war completely off the rails.

Marvel’s most trigger-happy crossover is officially loading another round.

During Marvel Comics’ Next Big Thing panel at San Diego Comic-Con, writer Benjamin Percy pulled back the curtain on the second half of “Big Guns,” the four-part crossover connecting his ongoing runs on Wade Wilson: Deadpool and Punisher. The event begins in September before escalating into an even more dangerous showdown in October, with Bullseye stepping onto the battlefield and Black Hole’s mysterious agenda finally beginning to take shape.

Featuring artwork from Wade Wilson: Deadpool artist Geoff Shaw and Punisher artist José Luis Soares, “Big Guns” brings Wade Wilson and Frank Castle together for exactly the kind of violent, unpredictable collision fans would expect. There will be bullets. There will be blood. There will absolutely be several terrible decisions made by people who should never be allowed near military-grade weapons.

Marvel also revealed the main covers for all four chapters, interior artwork from the opening issues, and Josemaria Casanovas’ complete four-part connecting cover. The massive image offers fans an expanded look at Wade Wilson’s ridiculous new headquarters on wheels, the Merc Mobile, which will serve as Deadpool’s base of operations moving forward.

Percy has spent both series dragging Deadpool and the Punisher back toward their most dangerous roots, delivering gritty action, ruthless consequences, and storytelling that refuses to put a safety lock on anything. Now, those separate paths are about to slam together at full speed.

The crossover begins when Deadpool’s latest assignment places him directly in Frank Castle’s crosshairs. Wade is pursuing one of the biggest and most dangerous jobs of his career, while the Punisher is looking to settle a score. What starts as another explosive disagreement between two armed maniacs quickly grows into a much larger conspiracy involving a powerful weapon, hidden manipulators, and enemies who understand exactly how to turn Wade and Frank against each other. Because apparently Deadpool fighting the Punisher was not chaotic enough, Bullseye is now joining the party.

The newly revealed covers from Geoff Shaw and David Marquez confirm that Marvel’s deadliest marksman will enter the conflict during the crossover’s third chapter. Bullseye’s appearance completes the deadly trio Percy envisioned when developing the event, bringing a dangerous new wildcard into an already unstable situation.

“We’re halfway through the crossover, but we’re doubling down on the insanity,” Percy said. “I had ‘The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly’ in my head from the very beginning, so I needed that third player on the board, and my mind immediately went to Bullseye. His chaotic energy matched the plot and his perfect marksmanship makes him a deadly addition to the ‘Big Guns’ lineup.”

That is one hell of a lineup. Deadpool cannot stop talking, Punisher does not believe in warning shots, and Bullseye can turn practically anything within arm’s reach into a murder weapon. Somebody better check whether Marvel’s insurance policy covers supervillain-related property damage.

Bullseye is not the only major threat emerging from the crossover. The mysterious Black Hole has been quietly manipulating events from behind the scenes, pushing Wade and Frank toward a catastrophic confrontation while hunting an ultimate weapon of his own. Percy teased that readers will soon learn much more about the villain’s enhanced abilities and the larger purpose behind his scheme.

“There are some surprises coming, including a greater understanding of our glow-up Black Hole’s powers and a specialty sports car snuck into the undercarriage of the Merc Mobile,” Percy continued. “Thanks for sticking with us.”

Yes, you read that correctly. Deadpool’s rolling fortress apparently has another car hidden inside it. Because when you are Wade Wilson, one heavily armed vehicle is never enough.

Target: Frank Castle!

“Big Guns” begins with Deadpool taking on a new mission, debuting a new vehicle, and possibly creating a brand-new enemy in the process. Multiple forces begin closing in on the ultimate weapon, but only one player can walk away with the prize.

Unfortunately for Wade, Frank Castle is standing directly in his path.

Punisher #8

Target: Wade Wilson!

The crossover continues as the Punisher finds himself battling the Regeneratin’ Degenerate. Their conflict may appear straightforward, but someone else is manipulating the battlefield from the shadows, steering both men toward a collision that could end in complete disaster.

Knowing Wade and Frank, “complete disaster” might actually be the optimistic outcome.

Target: Bullseye!

Deadpool and the Punisher are hunting the same devastating weapon as Black Hole, but a weapon is only as dangerous as the person pulling the trigger. Enter Bullseye, one of the most accurate and psychotic killers in the Marvel Universe.

Now the man who never misses is stepping into a war where everyone is already shooting first.

The Good, the Badpools and the Mercs!

Black Hole finally springs his deadly trap, pulling Deadpool and Punisher into the center of his endgame. Bullseye and the Badpools launch plans of their own, turning the final chapter into an all-out battle packed with betrayals, bullets, and enough mercenary madness to leave permanent scars across both series.

The conclusion will also introduce a dramatic new development affecting Frank Castle’s future plans and Wade Wilson’s fortunes moving forward. Whatever happens, neither character is walking away from “Big Guns” unchanged.

With Benjamin Percy steering the chaos and Geoff Shaw and José Luis Soares bringing the ballistic insanity to life, “Big Guns” is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s loudest, bloodiest, and most shamelessly entertaining crossovers of the year. Deadpool versus Punisher was already a dangerous proposition. Throwing Bullseye into the equation transforms the whole situation into a live grenade with the pin already missing.
