Masters of the Universe Masterverse New Eternia Moss Man Review

Moss Man finally gets his New Eternia spotlight, and let me tell you, this one walks out of the woods with presence. Right out of the box, the sculpt and paint work are the first things that grab you. The layered textures, the deep greens, the bark-like details—they all combine to give Moss Man a far more imposing look than his Revelation counterpart. This isn’t just an update; it feels like an evolution.

Accessories-wise, you get a sword, a club, and a vine attachment. They look good and photograph well, but here’s the rub: for a $35 figure, I expected a bit more. An alternate head, a couple of expressive hands—something to push him past “solid release” into “must-own.” The removable leafy chest armor is a nice touch, but it doesn’t completely shake that feeling of being just shy of complete.

Still, don’t panic-buy this guy. He lingered online at Mattel Creations long after launch, so the supply seems steady. That’s good news, because Moss Man deserves some time to get noticed. He’s not just another figure to line the shelf—he’s a hulking, forest-born bruiser that demands his own display space.

At the end of the day, New Eternia Moss Man isn’t perfect, but he’s a strong entry. If you’re a MOTU collector, you’ll appreciate the sculpt, enjoy the posing options, and maybe, like me, wish Mattel had gone just one accessory deeper.
