Mezco Toyz Exclusive One:12 Collective DC Comics Batman Supreme Knight Darkest Dawn Figure Review

Today in the Toyverse, we travel back into One:12 Collective-verse and examine one of the latest Mezco Toyz exclusives. This exclusive marks the end of the Mezco inspired Batman trilogy of figures. That si right, today we look at the MDX Batman Supreme Knight Batman. It is very bittersweet looking at this figure. I know other versions of Batman will come from Mezco, but seeing this amazing trilogy of original idea inspired Batman figures from Mezco has been a fun journey. Let’s dive in and examine this beautiful collectible.

The design on this version of Batman is yet once again in spirit, inspired by the iconic Frank Miller The Dark Knight Returns. Keeping in the spirt of that design, Mezco has taken the final steps on their version of Batman and showcased him as an older version. This Supreme Knight marks the fourth release of Supreme Knight by the company. I passed on the light blue PX version and the Black Suit Supreme, and instead am happy with this version. The dark blue version really pops. The suit is design a tad different in the body, but it is that design that really makes him pop. The texture of the suit feels great, and the sleek tech inspired cowl once again is fantastic. The use of swapping three different bat logos(more on this later) is a nice additional feature to the suit. The figure is nice and bulky and has a kick ass look to him. Overall, I dig the design and the presence of this Batman.

In terms of articulation, this Batman still moves about as well as previous versions I have held in my hands. The body is not hindered by the cloth goods, and the arms moved pretty well with the cloth not coming in the way as well. The head a nd cowl move okay as well. Since the head is connected at the cowl, and the cowl is connected by magnet, the cowl does sometimes come loose. It’s a give and take, but worth pointing out. The legs have no issues kicking forwards and going back a little. The feet are a little tight, but I applied a little hair dryer heat(do this at your own risk) and found them to move a bit better. Overall, really no glaring issues otherwise.

As far as accessories are considered, the world’s greatest detective knows no bounds in terms of items needed on his crime fighting journey. Included are the following:

So many cool items, and on top of that you get a poseable wire cape along with a regular cape to display. This Batman is loaded with a  ton of cool stuff. the interchangeable bat symbols on the chest are a real highlight for me. He does live up to the name of Supreme Knight.

Overall the Darkest Dawn Supreme Knight checks all the boxes for me for everything you want in a Batman figure. he has many multiple display options for any Batman fan regardless of displaying or snapping toy photos with. The choice is up to you. If you didn’t pick up on the Mezco site, than your best bet will be the secondary markets as this version sold out in about 15 minutes. I hope you enjoyed this review, and enjoy the photos!
