Comic fans, creators, dreamers, and lovers of the medium this one is straight from the heart of why we all fell in love with comics in the first place.
Altruist Comics is back on Kickstarter with something special, launching their brand-new campaign For the Love of Comics! a vibrant, full-color anthology packed with short stories that celebrate the joy, imagination, and uplifting spirit that makes comics one of the greatest storytelling mediums on the planet. Written by creator Randy Stone, this exciting collection brings together a powerhouse lineup of talented artists from around the world, including Katia Vecchio, Lucas Gattoni, Francesco Infrasca, Ahmed Raafat, Jérôme Gagnon, Felipe Thowsend, Tanya Roberts, Fabian Lelay, Dominic Bustamante, and Fish Lee. Each creator brings their own visual style and storytelling energy to the table, making this anthology a colorful celebration of creativity, passion, and the magic that happens when artists and writers collaborate.
Now if that name Altruist Comics sounds familiar to Comic Crusaders readers, it’s because the publisher made waves with their bold and thought-provoking anthology Death & Comics a project that explored darker themes across multiple genres, each story touching on mortality and the many ways death shapes our lives and narratives. But For the Love of Comics! flips the script. Instead of exploring the shadows, this new anthology shines a bright spotlight on the positive, hopeful, and inspiring side of comics storytelling. Across seven unique stories, readers will find tales filled with heart, creativity, humor, and the kind of uplifting energy that reminds us why comics continue to connect people across cultures, generations, and fandoms. Think about it comics aren’t just capes and explosions (although we love those too). They’re about imagination. They’re about hope. They’re about those moments where art and storytelling collide to make you smile, laugh, and maybe even see the world a little differently. And that’s exactly the spirit Randy Stone and the incredible team of artists are bringing to life with this project.
The Kickstarter campaign runs from March 4 through April 2, 2026, giving fans plenty of chances to jump in and support the project with a variety of reward tiers. Backers can grab digital editions, print copies, and even a super-limited holofoil variant cover with only 25 copies available a true collector’s item for fans who love owning something rare. But that’s not all. The campaign also features custom commissions from the artists involved, giving supporters the chance to get one-of-a-kind artwork straight from the creators themselves. On top of that, backers can explore add-ons from across the entire Altruist Comics catalog, making this Kickstarter a great opportunity to discover even more indie comic gems from the publisher. This project is more than just another anthology it’s a love letter to comics, to creators, and to the fans who keep the medium thriving. So if you believe in supporting indie creators, celebrating creativity, and backing projects that remind us why comics are such a powerful form of storytelling, this is definitely one to check out.
