Kill All Immortals Part 2 #4 Review: Frey Stops Running and Starts Wrecking Everything

Frey stands bloodied and furious in Kill All Immortals Part 2 #4 as the story builds toward a brutal finale

Frey stops running and starts raising hell in one of the most intense chapters of Kill All Immortals yet.

Kill All Immortals Part 2 #4 is the kind of comic that does not tiptoe into the room. Nah. This beast kicks the door off the hinges, tracks blood across the floor, and lets everybody know Frey is done playing scared.

What makes this issue hit so hard is not just the carnage, though trust me, this book has no problem getting nasty. It is the emotional weight underneath every slash, every hard stare, every brutal decision. Frey’s brother is dead. The Khans are closing in. Her whole world is collapsing, and this issue makes it crystal clear that the old version of Frey is not built for what comes next. So what do we get? Transformation, baby. Pain-fueled, rage-fed, legacy-soaked transformation.

Zack Kaplan really locks in here. This script does not just throw violence on the page and call it a day. It gives that violence meaning. Frey is not only fighting enemies, she is fighting bloodline, fear, grief, and the terrifying realization that the monster her family history has been preparing might actually be her. That is what gives this issue its fire. The action is wild, but the character work is what makes it roar.

And let’s talk about that art team, because Marco Itri and Elisabetta D’Amico came here to do damage. This issue looks vicious in all the right ways. The action is sharp, ugly, and gloriously readable. Nothing gets lost in the chaos. Every hit lands. Every violent beat feels like it matters. And yes, that train moment? Absolutely insane. The kind of panel that makes you stop, blink, and say, “Oh, we are really doing this.” WEPA.

Thiago Rocha’s colors make the brutality hit even harder. The blood pops, the danger feels immediate, and the whole issue has this grim, punishing atmosphere that keeps the pressure on from jump. Then Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou comes through with letters that give Frey’s anger extra bite. The dialogue feels sharp, the sound effects crack, and the issue sounds as mean as it looks.

What really pushes this issue over the top is that it earns its place as the chapter before the finale. This is not empty noise. This is not fake hype. This is a story finally pushing its lead character to the point of no return. By the end, Frey is done hesitating. Done hiding. Done pretending she can survive this by playing defense.

Kill All Immortals Part 2 #4 is brutal, emotional, and locked all the way in. It is a savage setup for the finale, but more than that, it is a killer reminder that the best violent comics are never just about blood. They are about what it costs to become the person who can survive the bloodshed.
