The story follows Zodiac’s attack on Moon Knight’s therapist Andrea Sterman. Rutherford Winner breaks out of Ravencroft and Moon Knight recounts to Dr Sterman of his confrontation with Winner. Sterman breaks all sorts of confidentiality codes and spills to Moon Knight the nature of Winner’s madness to discredit him.
Moon Knight recounts their battle and Winner’s repeated entreaties to find Dr Sterman. As the story progresses, Dr Sterman interrupts and prods Marc to put aside his self-imposed limitations and give in to his impulses. Moon Knight ends the tale revealing that he believes Winner who told him that Dr Sterman has been replaced.
The therapist quickly transforms into the villain Waxman. Moon Knight takes Waxman down, traps him, forces a confession and then pours cement into him. Moon Knight demonstrates he is just as unstable as the villains he fights. He is out for blood as his pursuit of Zodiac is renewed.
This issue does a great job of encapsulating the character of Moon Knight, showing off the nature of his villains and allies and his potential for destruction. It is a great jumping on point but also leaves one ready for more.
