REVIEW: Fallen World #3

At first glance Fallen World #3 is a story Robot Ninja Warrior“s from Space fighting against alien clones mind controlled by a zombie, with some dinosaurs and talking elephants thrown in for good measure.   But the interesting thing that keeps you turning the page is the slow revealing mystery of what brought us to this point.

Here“s what we know about Fallen World so far ”¦

At some point there was a Human Space colony who“s daily tasks were done by robots also known as positronics, this colony was run by a being called The Father, until at some point on of his creations wanted to give the positronics free will.  A battle broke out, in which The Father was killed and New Japan fell out of its orbit onto the earth. Now keep in mind I already thought this was some of the wall stuff until I realized that Dan Abnett had a schematic for this story”¦ the bible, and the bringing of New Jerusalem from Heaven to the Earth.

“Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God”“ -Relevations 21

At some point the protagonist, Rai had been chosen to lead the rebels and the remaining New Japan citizens on earth, but they are so busy arguing and fighting amongst themselves, that their situation just keeps getting worse.

“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars””they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”“

Interestingly enough the Father reappears, though in a weakened state, and gets help from the Faithful Cult of Cicardians, and one of his sons Raijin.  Thus he hatches a plan to rebuild New Japan, as soon as he recombines with the other 12 pieces of himself to make himself whole.

  “He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”“

“The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”“ -Relevations 21:14

Rai races back to the Sonkatu sector but he was detained by the Kortagu who believe that since they stayed behind that they are the inheritors of the earth.

“Those who are victorious will inherit all this”“.

And the last part that we are left with in Fallen World #3 is pieces of New Japan being resurrected on earth which would correspond with the actual resurrection of New Jerusalem.

“The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long.” Revelations 21:16

Of course this is all just my theory, and might be wrong given the obvious Asian Mythology elements to the characters.  But still from what I“ve seen Fallen World is a great addition to the Blood Shot Mythology
