Review: Ghost Rider #4 : The King of Hell (The Conclusion)

In the previous issues of the Ghost Rider #3 : The King of Hell, After a brief flashback with a Native American Ghost Rider, the book gets back to the adventures of Blaze and Ketch. Johnny Blaze is still king of hell and is stillÂ hunting down escaped demons.Â Â Mephisto had been jailed in Las Vegas while Blaze held his mantle in Hell.Â After Danny“s run in with the new king of Hell, Johnny Blaze, the former Ghost Rider stripped his half-brother of his powers, threw him off a bridge and left him for dead. Now the King of Hell has his sights set on a new slew of demons who have escaped the pit and will follow them to the city of sin to send them back. Unfortunately, Blaze doesn“t realize that the forces aligned against him are driving him exactly where they want him to be.

In the current issue of the Ghost Rider #4 : The King of Hell, Danny goes to Limbo to enlist the help of Necrosis a being powerful enough fight against a spirit of vengeance.Â Â In the Meantime Johnny Blaze has been busy stopping a coup from the demons that don’t like him on the throne.Â The Spirit of Corruption, a servant of Belasco is introduced (1st appearance).Â Â Â The questions still remains, as to how will eventually win the throne of hell? Neither of them seems to really want so why do they keep fighting over it?Â I am not a fan of good guys fighting good guys…but here we are and not just Ghost Riders.

Ghost Rider #4 , was not an easy issue book to just pickup and start reading without context.Â Even though some of this limbo stuff may eventually pay off, I don’t think is should be that easy to just pop in and out of limbo or hell.

Overall the artwork was pretty good, but the best panels has be when spirit ofÂ an eight armed, Spirit of Corruption shows up and Johnny has been informed that he has to fight him.
