- Jay and Mania are hot on the heels of KISS and getting the Sword of Immortality back and do mean hot! They are running out of chances to pull this off before Hay is stranded permanently in the Wasteland with an angry demon king who is still not coping well with losing both his sword and his hand to the greatest rock band to ever live!
In the current issue of KISS: The End #4 Jeremiah Alfred Prufroch, had one last chance to retrieve the sword and return to the Wasteland. He winds up in the middle of the Mexican desert, where he makes a deal with the angel Lofiel to help him free the Goddess of Death from the her father. He gets a montage like guitar lesson from Robert Leroy Johnson, and then he goes to bum rush the stage at one of their concerts to take them back to the Wasteland. Traces of T.S Eliot appears unexpectedly shows up in Amu Chu’s mature fleshing out of this Kiss story, and it goes even further than naming the protagonist J. Alfred Prufrock and his trips to the Wasteland, the I’m not sure if Chu has a more linear direction, yet but using TS Eliot’s body of world as a universe onto itself is a nice touch.
