IDW Is Bringing Signings, Exclusives and Two Mystery Reveals to NYCC 2026

IDW is coming into NYCC 2026 with four days of creator signings, booth exclusives and a Friday panel they are basically daring people to miss. The publisher will be planted at Booth #4551 throughout New York Comic Con, October 8-11, and this is not looking like one of those booths you casually stumble into between lunch and the bathroom line.

The big question mark hangs over Friday morning’s panel, “IDW Publishing: You’ll Want to Be in This Room”, running 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM in Room 406.2. The lineup includes Christopher Cantwell, Matthew Rosenberg, Mariko Tamaki, Patrick Horvath and comic legend Stan Sakai, with IDW VP of Marketing Aub Driver moderating. IDW is promising two major reveals, and the company has been deliberately cagey about why Sakai is involved, which is exactly how you get comic fans suspicious in the best possible way.

The booth schedule is deep across all four days. Thursday brings Mariko Tamaki for Hello Kitty and Friends: Hello World!, Kasey Iris for Ghoul, Ben Wickey for More Weight, Patrick Horvath for Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees, Christopher Cantwell for Star Trek, and creators tied to Sonic x Godzilla, Starship Godzilla, Fatal Fest and The Exorcism at 1600 Penn.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8

11:00 AM-1:00 PM – Mariko Tamaki, Hello Kitty and Friends: Hello World!
1:15-3:15 PM – Kasey Iris, Ghoul
1:15-3:15 PM – Ben Wickey, More Weight
3:30-4:30 PM – Nick Marino, Oliver Ono and Vertebrae33, representing Sonic x Godzilla, Starship Godzilla and Horror of Godzilla variant work
3:30-4:30 PM – Patrick Horvath, Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees
4:45-6:45 PM – Christopher Cantwell and Andrew K. Currey, Star Trek
4:45-6:45 PM – Hannah Rose May and Andrea Scalmazzi, Fatal Fest and The Exorcism at 1600 Penn

Friday is where the schedule gets especially interesting. Sarah Myer and A.J. O. Mason kick off the day, the mystery-heavy panel lands before lunch, Stan Sakai and Soo Lee have a wristband-required signing tied to a classified project, and the afternoon stacks Matthew Rosenberg, Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, Adrian Bonilla, Patrick Horvath, Peach Momoko and Christopher Cantwell into the booth.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9

11:00 AM-1:00 PM – Sarah Myer, TMNT: Saturday Morning Adventures
11:00 AM-1:00 PM – A.J. O. Mason, Kloud 9
11:15 AM-12:00 PM – IDW Publishing: You’ll Want to Be in This Room, Room 406.2
1:15-3:15 PM – Stan Sakai and Soo Lee, project classified, wristband required
3:30-4:30 PM – Matthew Rosenberg, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

4:45-6:45 PM – Patrick Horvath and Peach Momoko, Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees
4:45-6:45 PM – Christopher Cantwell and Andrew K. Currey, Star Trek

Saturday keeps the booth busy with Kenny Porter, Tyrell Cannon, Dan Watters, Hannah Rose May, Andrea Scalmazzi, Alex Segura and Chuck U. The schedule touches everything from Operation: Iron Coffin and TMNT: Shredder to Star Trek material and a TMNT #300 lithograph signing, which gives the booth enough variety to pull different fandoms through the same space all day.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10

4:45-5:45 PM – Alex Segura, Alien Books ashcan signing
4:45-6:45 PM – Chuck U, TMNT #300 lithograph

Sunday closes with Andre Frattino, Kasey Iris, Ben Wickey and another Stan Sakai/Soo Lee wristband signing tied to the still-classified project. That repeat appearance only makes the mystery more interesting, because IDW clearly wants that project in front of as many NYCC fans as possible without actually saying what the hell it is yet.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11

11:00 AM-1:00 PM – Andre Frattino, We Are Pan
11:00 AM-1:00 PM – Kasey Iris, Ghoul
1:15-2:15 PM – Stan Sakai and Soo Lee, project classified, wristband required
3:30-4:30 PM – Ben Wickey, More Weight

Between the mystery Sakai project, two promised reveals, a deep signing schedule and whatever exclusives IDW has stacked at Booth #4551, this is one of those publisher stops you plan before you hit the floor instead of figuring out while trapped behind 400 people near the escalator. New York Comic Con runs October 8-11, 2026 at the Javits Center in New York City, and Comic Crusaders will be watching that Friday panel very closely.
