Jason Latour to Release Super Ego Paperback This May

Jason Latour is letting it all out on the page and this one’s pure, unfiltered comics joy. 🔥📚

The short-form comics of writer/artist Jason Latour the co-creator of Marvel’s Spider-Gwen and the award-winning Southern Bastards are finally being brought together in one killer collection: Super Ego: The Short Comics of Jason Latour, landing this spring from Image Comics.

Think of this book as a solo comics variety show a wild mix where satire crashes into superheroes, slice-of-life rubs shoulders with absurdity, and Latour just lets his creativity run free. It’s loose, it’s playful, it’s sharp, and it wears its love for the medium right on its sleeve.

Latour puts it best himself, saying that everything from Sunday funnies to Mad Magazine to his beat-up old Spider-Man comics flows through these pages. Every line, every mark, is a love letter to comics and by his own admission, this is the most fun he’s ever had making them. And you can feel that energy on every page.

Super Ego: The Short Comics of Jason Latour (ISBN: 9781534331013) hits local comic shops on Wednesday, May 6, followed by a wider release at independent bookstores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, and Waterstones on Tuesday, June 2.

Digital readers are covered too, with the collection available on Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play, Omnibus, and more.

If you love comics that are smart, funny, personal, and just a little unhinged in the best way Super Ego is a must-grab.
Pure comics energy. WEPA.
