McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Gold Label Collection Batman 89 with Batmobile Review

Today in the Toyverse, we travel down to the DC Multiverse and examine the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse 1989 Batman with Batmobile. Now this beautiful set was part of an Amazon exclusive set that sold out just as fast as it appeared. McFarlane Toys listened to the fan outrage, and offered it back up again, which sold a bit better for those who missed out the first round. The Batmobile is the same release as the Flash movie version, just painted in matte, and with the correct color scheme on the hubcaps. One thing to point out is that the canopy is done in the proper color scheme, and matches the car quite nice. For those who missed out but own the Flash version, if you can do a repaint on that, you won’t be missing out. It still is a single seater, and can hold the included Batman figure in it with no issues.

As it relates to the 1989 Batman figure, this version is just slightly different from the six pack release that just came out. By slightly it comes down to the gold tone on the bat logo and belt. The only complaint I have about the figure really is the lack of driving hands. Otherwise I do think this is the best overall 1989 domestic affordable Batman figure ont he market. the Mezco version may have a better head sculpt, but this version doesn’t have the flaws that the body on that one has in terms of long term durability. This version features a cloth cape and the standard 22 points of articulation. Overall it’s a fun set to have for any Batman fan.
