PAIN Unleashes “I Don’t Give A Fukk” With Peter Stormare in a Wild New Video

WEPAAAA, metal maniacs, PAIN just kicked the door off the hinges.
Swedish industrial-metal machine PAIN is back with a brand-new single, “I Don’t Give A Fukk,” and the title tells you exactly what kind of mood Peter Tägtgren is bringing to the party. The track arrived August 28 through Reigning Phoenix Music, packing grinding guitars, a mechanical electronic pulse, a nasty groove and one of those hooks built to be screamed back at a stage.
The new song was co-written by Peter and his son, PAIN drummer Sebastian Tägtgren, and it pushes the band into another strange, heavy corner of its sound. PAIN has always lived in the space where metal, electronics, melody and dark humor collide, but this one comes in swinging with a blunt message aimed at the noise, manipulation, division and information overload of modern life. It is confrontational without pretending to have a magic answer for any of it. Sometimes the release is the point.
Peter Tägtgren summed up the attitude behind the track perfectly: “Hold on tight and get ready to smile.” Yeah, that tracks. The song has teeth, but it also has that unmistakable PAIN weirdness running underneath it, refusing to sit politely inside one genre box.
The video brings in another Peter and turns the chaos up. Actor Peter Stormare stars in the official clip, reuniting with PAIN after previously appearing in the band’s 2024 video for “Go With The Flow.” Stormare’s presence fits the band’s sense of humor almost too well, and the result feels less like a standard performance video and more like PAIN deciding the music business needed its own fever dream.
The track continues the growing creative partnership between Peter and Sebastian Tägtgren. Sebastian contributed music to “Revolution” and “Don’t Wake The Dead” and served as a co-producer on PAIN’s 2024 album I Am. Hearing that collaboration keep evolving gives this new single an extra layer beyond the shock-title energy. The family business is getting louder.
For anyone just walking into the PAIN universe, this project has been breaking genre rules since the late 1990s. Peter Tägtgren built PAIN as a place for ideas that did not fit inside HYPOCRISY, blending heavy riffs with programmed rhythms, synths, huge choruses and an instinct for hooks that can turn industrial-metal punishment into something weirdly danceable. Songs like “Shut Your Mouth,” “Same Old Song,” “Follow Me,” “Coming Home” and “Party in My Head” helped build a catalog that has never been interested in standing still.

“I Don’t Give A Fukk” keeps that tradition alive. It is heavy, sarcastic, catchy, irritated and just unhinged enough to sound unmistakably like PAIN.
