WEPAAAA, bub. Wolverine is not even on shelves yet and the soundtrack is already out here slicing through speakers.
Hollywood Records has released the full Marvel’s Wolverine Original Video Game Soundtrack, featuring an original score by Emmy-winning composer David Fleming. The album is streaming now across major digital platforms, giving fans an early taste of the tone Insomniac Games is bringing to Logan’s next big adventure before the game launches on September 15, 2026 for PlayStation 5.
Fleming approached the score by leaning into the contradictions that make Wolverine work. Logan may be one of Marvel’s most recognizable superheroes, but the character has always carried the energy of somebody who belongs just as easily in a western, a samurai story or a brutal road movie. Fleming says he began shaping the music in a California desert barn packed with instruments that felt more at home in a western than a superhero production.
That idea runs through the score: Logan as a man caught between animal instinct and a deeply buried sense of honor. Instead of treating Wolverine like a straightforward superhero, Fleming focused on the character’s isolation, violence, emotional weight and constant search for belonging.
The soundtrack also shifts its musical identity around the larger cast. Sabretooth gets what Fleming describes as brutally distorted rock, while Jean Grey is represented through flowing harp patterns and guitars. The composer jokingly referred to the whole thing as “symphonic techno-western,” which honestly sounds exactly weird enough for a Wolverine game.

The complete album features 21 tracks, including “Logan,” “Adamantium,” “His Creed Is Mayhem,” “Omega Red,” “Dawn of the Sentinel,” “The Cruelest Cut,” “Weapon & Master” and “Remember.” The track names alone tease some of the mutants, enemies and emotional beats waiting inside the game.
Fleming brings serious genre credentials to the project. His recent work includes The Last of Us, Superman, Jim Henson: Idea Man, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Widow’s Bay, with an Emmy win and multiple major award nominations already on his résumé.
Marvel’s Wolverine is being developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game follows Logan as he rejoins Team X three years after walking away, only to find himself pulled into a global conflict involving Bolivar Trask, kidnapped mutants and threats spread across locations including Canada, Japan and Madripoor.
PlayStation has confirmed the game arrives on September 15, 2026 for PS5, while vinyl pre-orders for Fleming’s score are also set to open that same day.
For now, if you want to know what this version of Logan sounds like before you get your hands on the controller, the answer is simple: angry, haunted, western-flavored, orchestral and ready to cut loose.
