Nemesis Forever Review – A Brutal, Explosive Finale That Redefines Villain Power

·Al Mega

Nemesis overlooking a burning city in Nemesis Forever comic by Mark Millar and Matteo Scalera

WEPAAAAAAAAAA!!! Oh we outside with this one, and Nemesis Forever ain’t asking for permission it’s kicking the door in, setting the building on fire, and buying the ashes just because it can. This is what happens when Mark Millar decides to go full savage mode and Matteo Scalera backs him up with visuals that feel like a blockbuster movie got injected straight into your eyeballs. This finale? Nah… this is domination in comic book form.

From the very first pages, the tone is clear this world is cooked. The opening sequence alone, with a city literally being torn apart in blazing, cinematic chaos, feels like the end of everything we know . And instead of dialing it back, Millar leans ALL the way in. That’s the magic here there’s no hesitation, no soft edges. This is a story about power taken to its absolute extreme, and Nemesis? That man is not just playing chess… he already flipped the board and owns the table.

What makes this hit different is how real it feels under all that insanity. Yeah, you got the wild tech, the global domination play, the cult backing it’s big, it’s loud, it’s crazy but underneath that is a story about control, influence, and what happens when the wrong person has ALL the resources. It’s uncomfortable in the best way. It makes you think while it’s blowing stuff up. That’s a dangerous combo, baby. WEPA!

Now let’s talk about Scalera… because this ain’t just art, this is a visual assault in a GOOD way. Every panel is dripping with motion, tension, and style. The action sequences don’t just look cool they FEEL chaotic, like you’re caught in the middle of it. The way he frames Nemesis, especially in those wide destruction shots and those intimate, close-up menace moments? Chills. Straight chills. And Giovanna Niro on colors? Oh yeah, she understood the assignment. The palette swings between fiery destruction and cold control, giving the whole book this cinematic rhythm that just flows. It’s like watching a symphony of violence conducted with precision.

And don’t sleep on Clem Robins on letters because when the action hits, the sound effects, the pacing, the flow of dialogue? That’s what keeps everything readable while chaos is popping off left and right. This whole team came to WORK.

Story-wise, what really elevates this final chapter is the tension with the federal agents trying to infiltrate Nemesis’ operation. That right there is your anchor. Because while Nemesis is out here playing god, you’ve got boots-on-the-ground characters risking everything to stop him, and that contrast gives the story weight. It’s not just spectacle it’s stakes. Real ones. You feel the pressure building with every move he makes, because you KNOW he’s always ten steps ahead.

And Nemesis himself? Man… this dude is a problem. He’s not just evil he’s disciplined, methodical, and terrifyingly patient. He’s the kind of villain that doesn’t just react he orchestrates. Every move feels intentional. Every step forward feels like it was planned years ago. That’s what makes him dangerous. That’s what makes him unforgettable.

If there’s anything holding this back from that perfect 5/5, it’s that emotional knockout punch. The spectacle is there. The brains are there. The brutality? Oh it’s DEFINITELY there. But that one final gut-punch moment that leaves you sitting there like “damn…” it flirts with it, but doesn’t fully land it. Still, that’s nitpicking on a book that is firing on almost every cylinder.

Bottom line Nemesis Forever is how you close out a trilogy with AUTHORITY. It’s bold, it’s relentless, it’s stylish, and it doesn’t play safe for even a second. This is the kind of comic that reminds you why you love this medium because when it goes big, it goes BIGGER than anything else out there.
