UNDERSEA HERO MAKES OFFICIAL DEBUT AT SDCC 2023 AND MORE SDCC NEWS
Hi, my name’s Ian Chase Nichols. You might remember me from my work on such comics as The Tick, TMNT, Red Sonja, my Conan #1 cover from Titan coming out, or any number of other comics I’ve worked on over the years. I’m very excited to be returning to SDCC with my new book, UNDERSEA HERO, which is making its Official Debut at San Diego Comic Con International 2023.
UNDERSEA HERO ISSUE #0 introduces us to Undersea Hero, his pal Lord Krakus (a Cuttlefish), and an array of new characters, creatures, and their fantastic undersea world.

There is also an UNDERSEA HERO #0 SKETCH COVER. I’ve drawn on some in advance, and I’ll be happy to draw on more of them while I’m at the show. The blanks are $10 each. Sketches done on these books at the show will be in black & white.

I do not charge for signing raw comics. I do charge $5 for witnessed/graded signatures (and the money goes to the Greater Boston Food Bank).
In addition to all of the UNDERSEA HERO work, I contributed a piece of artwork to a 2023 Eisner Award-nominated book at this year’s SDCC. The Charlton Companion by Jon B Cooke is up for ‘Best Comics-Related Book’.
