Witchblade and The Darkness Are Getting a Tarot Deck on Kickstarter

WEPAAAA, Crusaders! The supernatural side of Top Cow is heading straight to the tarot table.

Dynamite Entertainment and Top Cow Productions are teaming up for a new Witchblade and The Darkness Tarot Deck, with a Kickstarter campaign set to launch soon.

The project will feature Witchblade, The Darkness, and additional characters from the larger Top Cow mythos, bringing the publisher’s supernatural universe into a format that feels like a natural fit for artifacts, destiny, power, corruption and all the other weird energy these characters have been carrying around for decades.

Dynamite has not yet announced the campaign’s launch date, pricing, full card count, artists, reward tiers or stretch goals, so those details are still under wraps. What is confirmed is that the campaign is being developed in partnership with Top Cow and will be funded through Kickstarter.

For longtime fans, Witchblade and The Darkness already live in a world full of mysticism, ancient forces and characters whose lives are constantly being pushed around by powers bigger than themselves. Turning that mythology into a tarot deck makes plenty of sense, especially if the final art leans into the darker supernatural personality that helped define both properties.

The announcement also arrives while both franchises remain active again in comics. Top Cow has continued expanding its modern Witchblade line, while The Darkness has returned to the spotlight with new material and renewed interest around Jackie Estacado and the larger mythology surrounding the Darkness power.

For now, Dynamite is inviting fans to follow the upcoming Kickstarter page for updates ahead of the official launch. More information on the deck, creative team and campaign rewards is expected as the project gets closer to going live.
