Some comics ease you into the story.
Tigress Island #1? Nah… this one grabs you by the collar, throws you on a boat, and dumps you onto a shady island where things get wild real fast. WEPA!
The story follows Bridget, Lonni, Yulia, Hema, Delight, and Vanessa, a group of women kidnapped and taken to a mysterious island run by some very powerful and very questionable people. But here’s the twist. These women aren’t helpless victims waiting for rescue. Nope. They’re smart, angry, and already figuring out how to flip the script on the people running this twisted operation. Translation?
Someone on this island is about to have a very bad day.
Patrick Kindlon wastes zero time getting the story moving. No long explanations. No slow setup. We’re thrown straight into the madness and expected to keep up and that makes the comic feel electric. The dialogue is sharp, funny, and full of personality. Each character pops with their own voice, which keeps the tension high while giving the story a gritty, real feel. It’s quick, punchy storytelling that keeps the pages turning.
Artist EPHK absolutely understands the vibe this book needs. The visuals are bold, exaggerated, and packed with attitude. Characters move with energy, violence hits hard, and the whole comic feels like a gritty cult action movie playing in your brain.
One slick detail is the use of white-eyed expressions, which gives the characters this slightly surreal, almost cartoonish intensity. It reminds you that this world is bigger, louder, and more dangerous than normal reality. And honestly… it looks awesome.
While Tigress Island absolutely leans into the wild pulp vibes violence, danger, power struggles it also sneaks in something deeper. Underneath all the chaos is a story about power, corruption, and the people who fight back against it. It’s bold, messy, and a little uncomfortable at times… but that’s exactly what good exploitation stories are supposed to do.
Push buttons. Start conversations. Make readers react.
Tigress Island #1 is loud, stylish, and unapologetically wild. Patrick Kindlon and EPHK deliver a debut that blends grindhouse action with sharp storytelling and a surprising amount of heart. It’s weird. It’s intense. It’s entertaining. And if you like comics that swing big and don’t play it safe…
You’re gonna want a ticket to this island!
