Blood & Thunder #18 Ends the Current Arc With a Whole Lot More Guns
·Al Mega

Fam, Blood & Thunder #18 looked at the phrase “too much firepower” and said, “Nah, run me some more.” Skybound and Image Comics just dropped the first look at the issue closing out the current story arc, and Blood is heading straight into the kind of mess where one talking gun apparently was not enough. Thunder is already along for the ride, more heat is entering the building, and this thing looks ready to go out loud.
The book comes from writer Benito Cereno, artist E.J. Su, colorist MsassyK, letterer Rus Wooton and co-creator Robert Kirkman. The series follows bounty hunter Akeldama “Blood” Bledsoe and her sentient weapon Thunder through a far-future world where humans and aliens are all trying to live under the same roof, which sounds civilized until you remember this is comics. The laws are weirder, the criminals are nastier, and bounty hunting feels less like a job and more like trying not to get your damn face blown off before lunch.

Issue #18 is not being sold like some quiet little wrap-up either. Skybound is teasing this as the end of the current arc and the start of whatever the hell comes next, which tells me somebody is about to survive this mess with scars, baggage or both. This is the kind of issue where the smoke clears, everybody checks who is still standing, and the book turns around and kicks open another door before you even get comfortable.
The cover game is bringing some heat too. E.J. Su and Dee Cunniffe handle the main cover, with variants from Nick Roche and Josh Burcham, Karen S. Darboe and Pete Woods. So yeah, collectors are getting options while the story itself is busy stacking guns on top of guns like somebody lost a bet.
Blood & Thunder #18 hits comic shops and digital platforms Wednesday, October 14, 2026 for $3.99. If you have been riding with Blood and Thunder since the beginning, this is the payoff chapter you have been waiting on. If you fell off somewhere along the way, now might be the time to catch your ass up before the next phase starts swinging.
Keep it locked to Comic Crusaders for more from Skybound, Image Comics and everything making noise on the racks. The Crusade Never Ends.
