First Look: G.I. JOE #25 Unleashes an All-Out War Between G.I. Joe and Night Force!

Skybound, Image Comics, and Hasbro have pulled the pin on the first explosive look at G.I. JOE #25, an extra-sized milestone issue launching the biggest G.I. Joe storyline in Energon Universe history. Yeah, fam it finally had to happen: G.I. Joe versus Night Force!

Writer Joshua Williamson joins artists Tom Reilly and Andrea Milana, colorist Lee Loughridge, and letterer Rus Wooton for a battle where Joe fights Joe, trusted allies become enemies, and every loyalty is about to get tested. The 40-page issue storms into comic shops on August 19, 2026, priced at $4.99.

Collectors are also getting a full-scale cover assault, including Tom Reilly’s wraparound main cover, variants from Jerome Opeña, Neeraj Menon, Miki Okazaki, Fadime Yildirim, Michele Rubini, Jonboy Meyers, and a wild foil die-cut Zartan mask cover.

With friendships breaking, secrets surfacing, and two elite teams heading straight for collision, G.I. JOE #25 is not playing backup—it is coming to change the battlefield.
