Warner Bros. Japan Anime Production just cracked open the dungeon door and revealed the first teaser trailer for BLADE & BASTARD, the upcoming 2027 anime adaptation based on the dark fantasy series set in the legendary RPG world of Wizardry. Created by Kumo Kagyu of Goblin Slayer fame, with illustrations by so-bin of Overlord, this series already carries serious fantasy street cred. The original light novels have been translated into more than ten languages and surpassed 700,000 copies in circulation worldwide.

The teaser welcomes fans into a brutal labyrinth where death is basically waiting around every corner like it pays rent. The cast includes Makoto Furukawa as Iarumas, Tomori Kusunoki as Garbage, Daiki Yamashita as Raraja, Saori Hayami as Ainikki, and Shion Wakayama as Berkanan.

Fans attending Anime Expo 2026 can catch fresh footage, industry panel appearances, giveaways, and special discussions with Furukawa and Yamashita. Dark fantasy fam, this one looks nasty in the best way. WEPAAA! 🩸
