OMOS JUST DESTROYED REY MYSTERIO, CRUSHED HIS STRETCHER AND TOOK AAA BACK BY FORCE!

Triplemanía 34 ended with Omos reinstated, Rey Mysterio driven through the commentary table and Dominik Mysterio watching his father’s authority collapse.
Rey Mysterio walked into Triplemanía 34: Night 1 as the general manager determined to defend AAA from its most uncontrollable giant. He left strapped to a stretcher while Omos stood above the wreckage of the commentary table.
Omos defeated Mysterio during Friday night’s main event in Las Vegas, earning reinstatement to AAA. Winning the match was apparently not enough, because the 7-foot-3 monster returned during the medical response and delivered one of the most vicious closing images WWE and AAA have produced during their growing partnership.
WWE’s official post-match footage shows Omos lifting the board with Mysterio still secured to it and chokeslamming the entire structure through the commentary table. That is not making an entrance. That is filing a hostile takeover with a stretcher as the paperwork.
The match carried serious storyline consequences before the bell even rang. Mysterio had suspended Omos from AAA following his attacks on Galeno and the general manager himself. If Omos lost at Triplemanía, he would be permanently removed from the promotion. A victory restored him to the roster.
Dominik Mysterio and Dorian Roldán accompanied Omos, while Rey arrived with El Grande Americano. The family tension followed everybody to ringside, with Dominik interfering against his father and helping create the opening Omos needed.
Rey attacked the giant’s legs and connected with multiple 619s, temporarily turning the impossible size difference into another classic Mysterio comeback. Omos survived the Frog Splash, regained control and finished the WWE Hall of Famer with a massive chokeslam.
The decisive pin restored Omos to AAA, but what happened afterward transformed an expected monster victory into the defining moment of the entire show. Medical personnel placed Rey on a stretcher following the match, only for Omos to return and lift the secured board.
He drove Mysterio through the announce table while Dominik’s alliance with the giant continued poisoning the relationship between father and son. Wrestling fans of a certain vintage immediately recognized the visual language.
Big Show once attacked Rey while he was strapped to a stretcher during a memorable 2003 segment. Triplemanía took that nightmare, increased the scale and placed Omos in the role of the unstoppable giant.
The closing angle does not confirm that Mysterio suffered a legitimate injury. WWE and AAA have not released an official medical update, so the responsible approach is to treat the scene as a storyline assault unless additional information emerges.
The angle nevertheless provides several directions for AAA. Rey now has a personal reason to retaliate, Dominik has helped reinstate one of the promotion’s most dangerous wrestlers and Omos can claim that no authority figure possesses the power to remove him.
Night 1 also produced championship developments beyond the main event. Los Perros del Mal defeated Psycho Circus to capture the AAA World Trios Championship, while La Parka retained the Latin American Championship against Mr. Iguana and Laredo Kid.
Roxanne Perez won the four-way contender match against Nattie, Faby Apache and La Hiedra. She will challenge for the Reina de Reinas Championship at Worlds Collide on September 26, although the identity of the champion could change when Flammer defends against La Catalina during Night 2.
The event represented the first half of AAA’s unprecedented two-night, two-country Triplemanía. Las Vegas hosted the opening card, while the celebration continues Sunday from Arena CDMX in Mexico City.
That second night will feature Dominik Mysterio defending the AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano. After Dominik helped Omos brutalize his father, the Mega Champion may have created enough enemies to fill the entire arena.
Chris Crash has watched plenty of giants wreck smaller opponents, but this closing angle understood exactly how to make Omos look terrifying. He did not merely defeat Rey Mysterio. He destroyed the general manager’s authority in front of the entire promotion.
Omos entered Triplemanía suspended and facing permanent exile. He left reinstated, dominant and standing over one of lucha libre’s greatest legends. AAA wanted its monster back, and now somebody has to figure out how to control him.
