REVIEW: Morbid Melon’s Halloween Celebrity Horror Is Funny AF!
·Al Mega

WEPAAAA! YO, WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST WATCH?!
Morbid Melon took Tyler Perry, Gucci Mane, Kanye West, Jay-Z and a whole damn parade of celebrities, tossed them into a Halloween nightmare, and apparently decided nobody was leaving with their dignity intact. Papi, I was laughing my ass off throughout this madness! The jokes, the voices, the delivery, the way each scene gets more ridiculous than the last, this is some seriously unhinged comedy.
The genius here is how Morbid Melon takes celebrity headlines, public controversies and the internet’s wildest rumors, then twists them into outrageous fictional horror sketches. He’s not presenting an investigation or making factual accusations. He’s roasting celebrity mythology with a horror-comedy flamethrower. The impersonations and timing are a huge part of the experience, and those performances make the already ridiculous dialogue hit even harder.
We open with what looks like a support group for survivors of celebrity encounters, which is already a beautiful setup for nonsense. The Tyler Perry segment turns Madea into a straight-up nightmare, with guests sharing increasingly uncomfortable stories about a sleepover gone horribly sideways. The back-and-forth between Tyler and Madea is so absurd that it feels like somebody watched a whole Madea marathon at three in the morning and woke up screaming.
Then the Gucci Mane storyline goes completely off the rails. A dude insists he’s not Gucci, nobody believes him, and suddenly we’re deep inside a clone conspiracy beneath Area 51. The underground facility is supposedly connected to so many secret organizations that I swear somebody must have been reading every conspiracy forum on the internet simultaneously. The way the characters deliver this lunacy like it’s just another Tuesday makes it even funnier.
Kanye’s turn is another level of crazy. The fictional Black Billionaires Club recruits him into a mysterious facility, where a machine supposedly exposes the circus inside his head. Morbid Melon goes to town on Kanye’s public persona, controversies and complicated celebrity relationships. It’s loud, messy, wildly exaggerated satire, with the kind of impersonation that makes the character’s outbursts part of the punchline.
Travis Scott gets a demonic sneaker initiation, and suddenly we’re mixing hip-hop fame, brand deals and supernatural bargains. This is where the humor gets especially dark, including references to real tragedy. Some viewers will absolutely find that material too much, and I get it. This special is adults-only, boundary-pushing comedy, not some cute little Halloween cartoon for the kids.
The Martin Lawrence and Kai Cenat segment might be one of the cleverest setups. Two versions of Martin compete over Kai’s future, one warning him that celebrity fame doesn’t last forever, the other promising streaming superstardom for life. Then Diddy turns up with some ridiculous fashion advice, because apparently this nightmare needed another recruiter. There’s a sharp joke about fame and the entertainment machine hiding beneath all the madness.
Now the Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Oprah section? BROOOOO! Haunted dolls, bizarre supernatural revenge, and a fictionalized Diddy who keeps appearing because he desperately wants Jay to be his friend. Jay’s growing panic and the repeated attempts to escape that unwanted reunion are comedy gold. The joke keeps coming back, and every return makes the situation more ridiculous. It’s like a haunted-house movie where the ghost just wants an invitation to the party.
There’s also a twisted church sequence involving Cassie and a fictional bishop that goes after hypocrisy and the protection of powerful people. This is the harshest sort of satire, with abuse-related material and deliberately uncomfortable jokes. The special doesn’t always distinguish a clever punchline from pure shock value, and some sequences stretch their premise a little long. Still, the voices, timing and escalating absurdity kept me laughing throughout.
By the final stretch, we’re in a cursed-burial-ground story involving greed, betrayal and supernatural payback. That’s another thing I enjoyed: Morbid Melon doesn’t stick to one horror gag. He jumps between nightmare comedy, clone science fiction, demonic bargains, haunted dolls and supernatural revenge like he’s flipping channels through the world’s most deranged Halloween marathon.
Look, this isn’t going to be everybody’s cup of café con leche. It’s vulgar, messy, intentionally offensive and absolutely not interested in protecting celebrity egos. The jokes work because of the delivery as much as the outrageous writing, and the nonstop performances give the whole thing a personality that a plain transcript can’t capture. Sure, a couple of sketches could be tighter, but I had a damn good time.
Morbid Melon, you wild bastard, keep doing your thing! This is exactly why I love spotlighting independent creators who bring their own crazy flavor to the table. If you enjoy grown-folks comedy, celebrity roasts and horror parody that refuses to behave, put this one on. Just don’t go confusing the fictional conspiracy madness with real reporting. Papi, I came for a Halloween laugh and somehow ended up in an underground Gucci Mane cloning facility. WHAT THE FUCK?!
