‘Better Together’ Brings a Powerful Message of Hope and Mental Health to Theaters Nationwide

Coming-of-age film starring Bart Johnson and Gattlin Griffith releases during Mental Health Awareness Month, spotlighting friendship, healing, and resilience.

Just in time for Mental Health Awareness Month, Reckless Abandonment Pictures will release the coming-of-age ‘Better Together’ in select theaters nationwide beginning May 15th.

Starring Gattlin Griffith (‘The Boys’), Bart Johnson (Disney’s ‘High School Musical’), Ricardo Hurtado (Nickelodeon’s ‘School of Rock’), Giselle Torress ‘Disney’s ‘The Villains of Valley View’), LaRonn Marzett (‘Birdie’), Katie Burgess (‘Jurassic Games’), and Juan Graterol (‘911 Nashville’), the film tells the story of six teens, who, ignited by a tragic event, embark on an epic quest to find a legendary landmark hidden in the Oklahoma wilderness. Together, they navigate the adventure, solve clues, and grow closer as a group while confronting the dangers throughout as well as the darkness within themselves.

Written by Sean Thiessen and directed by Emmy Award-winner Kyle William Roberts, the film explores themes of identity, friendship, and the internal battles many young people face today.
