Fred Schwartz Talks FISTICUFFS Book Four and Late Pledges | Comic Crusaders Podcast #736

Fred Schwartz is stepping back into the Comic Crusaders Podcast arena, and this time the independent writer and creator is bringing the fourth chapter of his bruising mature-reader saga, FISTICUFFS.

This return appearance goes beyond the usual creator-origin conversation. Fred breaks down how Book Four changes the trajectory of his planned six-book series, how he balances brutal superhero action with dark comedy and emotional vulnerability, and why addiction, dysfunction, responsibility, and personal consequences remain at the heart of the story.

The conversation also explores reader interpretations, Fred’s evolving relationship with crowdfunding, collaboration with artists and letterers, the pressure created by strong reviews and creator endorsements, and which parts of FISTICUFFS must remain untouched should the series ever be adapted for another medium.

The original Kickstarter campaign has ended, but readers have not missed their opportunity to enter the ring. Late pledges remain available for FISTICUFFS: Books One Through Four of Six, allowing newcomers to begin from Book One and returning readers to continue the fight.

Watch or listen to the full interview, support the campaign through late pledges, and discover why FISTICUFFS is earning attention as a fearless, deeply personal piece of creator-owned storytelling.
