Lorraine Bencivengo Ziff | Goddess of Slots | Comic Crusaders Podcast #772

·Al Mega

There are some guests who walk into the Comic Crusaders Podcast with one lane. Maybe they are promoting a movie, talking about a new comic, or pushing whatever project happens to be next on the schedule. Lorraine Bencivengo-Ziff is definitely not one of those people.

Lorraine, better known to many of her followers as the Goddess of Slots, has built a life that refuses to stay inside one category. Actress, producer, entrepreneur, casino-content personality, martial artist and businesswoman are all part of the story, and somehow they connect once you actually sit down and hear how she got here.

What immediately caught my attention was that the Goddess of Slots persona did not begin as some giant corporate branding exercise. Lorraine’s casino content grew organically after one of her jackpot videos started getting attention, and she leaned into something she was already enjoying. What followed became a growing online presence built around casino play, humor, tutorials, fashion, appearances and the kind of personality you cannot manufacture in a marketing meeting.

The important part is that Lorraine does not approach gambling like some magic shortcut to easy money. During our conversation, we got into the reality behind casino entertainment, including budgeting, understanding the risk and knowing when it is time to walk away. There is a big difference between enjoying the experience and convincing yourself that the next spin is somehow owed to you, and Lorraine has made responsible play part of the way she talks to her audience.

Her story gets even more interesting when you move outside the casino.

Lorraine grew up near Yonkers Raceway and OTB culture, but her path took her through theater, communications, social work, law, real estate, business and eventually acting and producing. She has spent a lot of her life doing the exact opposite of what people expect when they look at one part of her résumé and assume they already understand the whole person.

That mindset eventually carried her into acting, where her credits have included projects such as Once Upon a Time in Brooklyn, Six Gun Savior, The Martial Arts Kid, Swing State and Real Rob. Lorraine also brings another unexpected piece to the equation as a third-degree Taekwondo black belt, which is the kind of detail that makes you reconsider making any jokes about stealing her machine at the casino.

One of the projects we discussed is Un$uited, a gambling and poker comedy featuring Tom Arnold and Dan Lauria, with Lorraine appearing as a version of her Goddess of Slots persona. The project represents a pretty natural collision of the two worlds she has spent years building: entertainment and casino culture.

There has been changing information surrounding the film’s release timeline, so rather than pretend every online date tells the whole story, we went directly to Lorraine about where the project currently stands and what audiences should expect next. That’s always the smarter move when independent productions are moving through distribution, festivals and streaming conversations at different speeds.

What I enjoyed most about this conversation was getting beyond the obvious casino questions. There is a much bigger discussion here about reinvention, especially when somebody refuses to accept the idea that they are supposed to choose one identity and stay there forever.

Lorraine has been a therapist, worked in law, operated businesses, invested in real estate, acted, produced, trained in martial arts and built an online personality around something she genuinely enjoys. None of those chapters automatically cancel out the one before it. They stack. That is something creators and entrepreneurs can learn from.

Sometimes the thing that becomes your next opportunity does not look anything like the career you thought you were building. The key is recognizing when people are responding to something authentically yours and having enough confidence to follow it without turning yourself into a character you no longer recognize.

We also talked about what it means to build an audience in a space where credibility matters. Casino content can attract plenty of hype, exaggerated promises and people trying to convince viewers that they have somehow cracked a system built around probability. Lorraine’s approach works better when the personality, entertainment and community stay at the center of it. The Goddess of Slots brand may have opened a new door, but Lorraine Bencivengo-Ziff is still the person walking through it, and that distinction matters.

Check out my conversation with Lorraine Bencivengo-Ziff on the Comic Crusaders Podcast as we get into her journey from New York to entertainment, the rise of Goddess of Slots, responsible gambling, acting, producing, martial arts, Un$uited and what she wants to build next.

Support people willing to bet on themselves, especially when they understand that sometimes the smartest move is knowing exactly when to take the chance.
