Capes #13 Adds New Invincible Universe Origins From Robert Kirkman and Nate Bellegarde

Capes #13 is getting a fresh dose of Invincible Universe insanity when Robert Kirkman and Nate Bellegarde introduce the origins of Business Baby and Big Mildew in a new six-part backup story beginning November 25.

Kirkman and Bellegarde are joined by colorist Annalisa Leoni for the backup, which follows Business Baby’s attempt to become a hero and the unexpected friendship he finds along the way. The story continues across Capes #13 through #18.

The main feature also launches a new arc from writer Benito Cereno, artist Mark Englert and letterer Rus Wooton. After Dinosaurus’ attack, the heroes of Capes, Inc. face a different kind of supervillain: market competition. New recruits, ratings and Commander Capitalism’s obsession with budgets and team optics are all suddenly part of saving the world.

Skybound says the arc will take the team around the globe and into space while bringing in surprise guest appearances from the wider Invincible universe.
