Just When You Thought You Were Safe… Creepshow Vol. 5 Is Coming to Haunt Comic Shops!

Creepshow Vol. 5 returns this September from Skybound and Image Comics, bringing the Eisner Award-nominated horror anthology back to comic shops with two terrifying new stories in every issue.
WEPA! Horror fans, lock the doors, dim the lights, and do not trust that weird noise coming from the basement, because our benevolent host is creeping back into comic shops with a brand-new batch of terror, twisted laughs, and page-turning madness.
Skybound and Image Comics have officially announced Creepshow Vol. 5, the next installment of the hugely popular horror comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s Shudder TV series, produced and licensed by Evoke Entertainment Company. That’s right, mi gente, the nightmare buffet is open again, and this September, readers are getting served with extra screams on the side.
The Eisner Award-nominated horror anthology returns with more spine-chilling, stomach-twisting, hair-raising stories from some killer creative talent. And just like every great version of Creepshow across pop culture, each issue comes packed with two terrifying tales designed to shock you, disturb you, and somehow make you smile while your soul is quietly packing a suitcase.
Because that’s the Creepshow magic, baby. It’s horror with personality. It’s gruesome, funny, weird, nasty, stylish, and always ready to hit you with that “nah, I did not see THAT coming” energy.

Kicking off the fifth volume, Creepshow Vol. 5 #1 features stories from an impressive lineup of creators, including Tyler Boss of Universal Monsters: Phantom of the Opera, Francesca Ciregia of Spider-Man, and Lorenzo De Felici of Void Rivals and Red Roots. That is a serious creative table right there. Somebody tell the horror fans to bring napkins, because this one is about to get messy.
Brian Witten is overseeing the project on behalf of Nicotero’s Monster Agency Productions, helping keep that Creepshow spirit alive, wicked, and ready to haunt shelves once again.
In the debut issue, Tyler Boss and Francesca Ciregia deliver a circus nightmare fans will not forget, where tensions between clown colleagues start stretching way too thin and apparently, so do body parts. Yes, you read that right. Clowns. Conflict. Body horror. And the most threatening “honk honk” you may ever experience in comic form.
So if you already had clown trust issues, congratulations, this book is not here to help. It is here to make them worse, stylishly.
Then Lorenzo De Felici launches readers into cosmic terror when a mysterious object from space begins wiping out humanity. With the world falling apart and survival hanging by a thread, the last surviving astronaut must try to trace the object’s origins before the final curtain drops on mankind.
That’s the kind of setup that grabs sci-fi horror fans by the collar and says, “You comfortable? Cool. Let’s ruin that.”
What makes Creepshow such a beast of an anthology is how it can swing from gross-out horror to cosmic dread, from dark comedy to psychological madness, all while keeping that campfire-from-hell energy burning bright. One story might make you laugh before it grosses you out. The next might have you staring at the sky like, “Maybe space can mind its business today.”

And that is exactly why this franchise continues to work. Creepshow understands that horror is not just about scares. It is about mood. Timing. Twists. Personality. That delicious little moment when the reader turns the page knowing something awful is coming but turns it anyway because we are all wonderfully broken horror goblins at heart.
With Creepshow Vol. 5 #1, Skybound and Image Comics look ready to keep the anthology tradition alive and kicking, bringing comic shops another round of monster-sized storytelling from creators who know how to play in the dark.
So mark your calendars for September, horror heads. The host is back. The stories are nasty. The laughs are sinister. The screams are fresh.
And remember: when Creepshow knocks, you open the door. Just maybe don’t stand too close.
