David Finch Joins Terminal #7 as Skybound’s Superhero Bloodbath Opens a New Arc
·Al Mega

Skybound and Image Comics are bringing serious firepower to the next chapter of Terminal. Legendary artist David Finch steps inside the series for the first time with Terminal #7, launching a new story arc alongside inker Sandra Hope, colorist Dave McCaig and letterer Rus Wooton. The issue hits comic shops on January 27, 2027.
Finch joins a ridiculous lineup of superhero storytellers already connected to the series. Terminal was created by Robert Kirkman, Joe Casey, Andy Kubert, David Finch and Arthur Adams. That is not a creative team. That is a superhero-comics Royal Rumble featuring artists and writers who have left fingerprints all over Invincible, The Walking Dead, X-Men, Batman, Wildcats and plenty more.
The new arc picks up after Sid survives the activation ceremony, although surviving that nightmare does not mean he gets to breathe. A new enemy is already coming for him, and Alessandra may be the only person capable of helping him make it through the next attack. This is Terminal, familia. Walking away alive only means the next disaster knows where to find you.
“The legendary David Finch makes his TERMINAL debut with the first of three issues!” said Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound. “And with inks by the indomitable Sandra Hope and colors by TERMINAL stalwart Dave McCaig, the next arc of this series is off to a hot start!”
Finch will handle pencils for three issues, beginning with #7, while Hope brings the heavy ink work and McCaig keeps the series visually connected through color. Rus Wooton remains on lettering duties, giving this next chapter a complete creative team built to deliver the kind of violent, unpredictable superhero chaos that has defined the series.
Collectors are getting a stacked cover lineup too. Arthur Adams and Dave McCaig provide the main cover, with additional open-to-order covers by David Finch and McCaig, as well as Andy Kubert and McCaig. The incentive variants include a 1:25 cover by Ben Oliver, a 1:50 cover by Yanick Paquette and Simon Gough, and a 1:100 cover by Whilce Portacio and Dean White.
Skybound is positioning Terminal for readers who love the emotional brutality of Invincible and the biggest, wildest eras of X-Men. With Finch finally stepping into the interior pages, Sandra Hope backing him on inks and a brand-new enemy ready to test Sid’s survival, Terminal #7 is not easing into its next arc. It is kicking the door off the hinges.
