Halloween Man Finds a New Home at IPI Comics, and They’re Giving Away Free Horror for Halloween!
·Al Mega

Now THIS is how you celebrate Halloween, familia! Forget the candy corn, put down that overpriced pumpkin spice whatever, and make some room for a little undead insanity! Halloween Man is heading to IPI Comics in 2027, and creator Drew Edwards isn’t making fans wait until next year to get their monster fix. He’s dropping a brand-new comic for FREE, because apparently somebody still understands the beautiful concept of giving comic book fans something without reaching into their damn wallets!
After more than two decades of monsters, mad scientists, supernatural trouble, and enough Texas weirdness to make you question what’s really happening down South, Halloween Man is getting ready for its next chapter. IPI Comics will bring the long-running cult favorite into comic shops through a new line of physical collections beginning in 2027. That’s right, familia, a webcomic that’s been grinding for over twenty years is getting some fresh shelf space. Independent creators putting in the work and building something that lasts? You already know we love seeing that!
For anybody unfamiliar with this wonderfully twisted universe, we’re talking about Solomon Hitch, an undead monster hunter, and Dr. Lucy Chaplin, a brilliant scientist who apparently decided dating a regular dude was way too boring. Together, they’ve been navigating a world where horror movies, superheroes, science fiction, romance, folklore, and Texas-sized madness all collide. Think of it as the kind of relationship where date night might involve fighting a vampire, escaping some laboratory nightmare, and still arguing about where to grab dinner afterward. That’s love, baby!
Edwards already has history with IPI Comics through his slasher series The Matron, and that relationship helped open the door for his signature creation. As Edwards explained, the success of The Matron made bringing Halloween Man under the same publishing umbrella a natural progression. After spending more than two decades developing these characters and their universe, seeing the series expand into physical collections is a solid reminder that independent comics don’t need permission from the Big Two to build something meaningful.
Now here’s where things get extra tasty! To celebrate the announcement, Edwards and his creative crew have released Halloween Man: Devil’s Night, an all-new comic available completely FREE on GlobalComix. No tricks, no mysterious fine print in the announcement, just some fresh Halloween reading material waiting for you. Even better, the release features a new cover by acclaimed DC Comics artist Nicola Scott, a longtime collaborator on the series. That’s a pretty sweet way to welcome readers into the madness!
Edwards has called Devil’s Night one of the strongest releases the team has assembled, with something for longtime followers and newcomers alike. That’s an important balance when you’ve got more than twenty years of mythology running around. Nobody wants to feel like they need a doctorate in fictional monster history just to enjoy a comic. Sometimes you want to jump in, meet some outrageous characters, enjoy the artwork, and see where the insanity takes you.
Here’s something I genuinely appreciate about this announcement. Independent comics are filled with creators who spend years, sometimes decades, building worlds without the massive marketing machines enjoyed by corporate publishers. Drew Edwards has kept Halloween Man alive through changing formats, shifting audiences, and an industry that can be downright brutal to smaller creators. Now there’s a new publishing partnership, more opportunities for physical distribution, and a free comic inviting the next generation of readers to discover what they’ve been missing. That’s the kind of indie comics news worth celebrating!
So while everybody else is getting their costumes together and arguing about which horror franchise deserves another sequel, Halloween Man is keeping the spooky season alive with something new. The physical collections arrive through IPI Comics in 2027, but you can jump into Devil’s Night right now. Support independent creators, explore something outside your usual pull list, and remember that some of the most interesting characters in comics aren’t necessarily wearing a Marvel or DC logo.
