New York Times bestselling author Jeremy Robinson unleashes his decades-in-the-making creation this November with artist Tiago Palma and colorist Manuel Rodriguez
What happens when a confused genetic experiment wakes up hundreds of years after civilization has fallen and immediately lands on the dinner menu?
He adapts. Fast.
Vault and #1 Audible and New York Times bestselling author Jeremy Robinson are joining forces for One Zero Zero One Saves the World, a wild new science-fiction comic book series drawn and lettered by Tiago Palma, with colors by Manuel Rodriguez.

The story introduces 1001, a genetic experiment capable of rapidly adapting to nearly any threat or environment. When he awakens alone in Earth’s post-apocalyptic future, 1001 has no idea who he is, where he came from or what happened to the world around him. Before he can start putting those pieces together, a pack of vicious creatures comes hunting. Welcome back to Earth, kid. Try not to get eaten.

Survival will require 1001’s body to evolve faster than the monsters can tear it apart, producing transformations that can be deadly, unpredictable and occasionally flat-out hilarious. Beneath all that creature chaos sits something surprisingly human: a newborn consciousness experiencing fear, confusion and wonder inside a body designed to become whatever survival demands.

The road bringing 1001 to comics stretches back more than three decades. Robinson originally created the character while attending college, when the genetic experiment still answered to the name Ralph.
“I first created 1001 when I was in college… more than thirty years ago,” Robinson said. “I worked on the story non-stop back then and created an eight-page comic for the character, named ‘Ralph’ at the time, that was published in a comic book anthology. When I shifted gears to writing screenplays and later novels, Ralph became less of a priority, but always stayed on my mind. When I decided to launch a comic book production house, Ralph, now 1001, was a top priority and I’m thrilled with how the book came out.”

Robinson found the character’s perfect artistic match in Palma, whose artwork balances 1001’s strange innocence with the spectacular transformations erupting from his evolving body. Rodriguez brings the ruined future to life with vivid colors built to make every creature, landscape and mutation hit even harder.
“Tiago Palma is the perfect artist to bring 1001 to life,” Robinson added. “He perfectly captures 1001’s confused innocence, gamut of emotions, and strange, deadly, and sometimes hysterical transformations. Manuel Rodriguez’s colors are vivid, making each page pop, as usual. Now, after all this time, the creature conjured by my 18-year-old self has come to life. Feels good!”

Robinson arrives at Vault with nearly 100 novels published across fourteen languages. His bibliography includes Infinite, The Others and the Good Boys trilogy, earning him a worldwide audience through his high-speed mix of science fiction, horror and action.

His cult-favorite novel Project Nemesis is also being developed as a television series with Chad Stahelski, director of the John Wick films, alongside Original Film and Sony Pictures Television.
Comics represent Robinson’s latest creative mutation. Through Breakneck Comics, his imprint devoted to bold, bizarre and beautifully illustrated graphic novels, the prolific author plans to release several new projects every year. The man has written nearly 100 novels, mi gente. Apparently, sleep filed for divorce a long time ago.

One Zero Zero One Saves the World #1 crashes into comic shops in November 2026, armed with a monster lineup of variant covers from Brett Parson, Edison Neo, Adam Cahoon, Michael Dialynas, Nathan Gooden, Derek Laufman, Tiago Palma and Jeremy Robinson himself.
A lost experiment. A dead civilization. Predators everywhere. One body capable of becoming whatever the nightmare requires.
Can 1001 survive long enough to discover why he exists, and does this confused creature truly have what it takes to save the world?
We’re about to find out. WEPA!
