First Look: Victoria Jaguar #1 Awakens an Immortal Guardian in Mad Cave’s Underworld Universe

·Al Mega

Mark London and Marco Rudy summon ancient mythology, dream predators and painted supernatural horror in a new five-issue series arriving this November

Something ancient is stirring inside Mad Cave Studios’ Underworld Universe, and it does not sound like the kind of nightmare that disappears when you turn on the lights.

Victoria Jaguar #1 launches an all-new five-issue supernatural horror series from Underworld creator Mark London (Battlecats, Hunt. Kill. Repeat.), artist and main cover artist Marco Rudy (Bucky Barnes: The Winter Soldier, Justice League Dark) and letterer Pat Brosseau (Dick Tracy). The series arrives in comic shops on November 11, 2026, introducing an immortal guardian who has spent two centuries healing the world and is about to discover that somebody has declared war on everyone under her protection.

Fam, they picked a fight with the wrong healer.

Since launching in 2024, Mad Cave’s Underworld Universe has expanded through interconnected supernatural thrillers including Revolution 9, Hour of the Wolf, Exit City, the crossover event Endless Night and Mister Nemo. Each series has pulled back another layer of a world filled with secret organizations, dangerous powers and horrors lurking beyond ordinary sight.

Victoria Jaguar pushes that mythology somewhere older, darker and far more dreamlike.

The story follows a man tormented by impossible nightmares who travels across the world searching for the mythical Victoria Jaguar, an immortal guardian chosen by the Night Sky centuries ago. His visions appear to be more than the product of a tortured mind, and when Victoria finally uncovers the truth, she realizes the nightmare is real.

Even worse, the unseen force behind it has already turned its attention toward her.

Rooted in ancient mythology and supernatural horror, the series presents Victoria as more than an immortal warrior. She is a protector and healer who has watched generations rise and fall while carrying the power of the night sky. Her mission has always been preservation, but when the lives under her protection are threatened, healing and warfare become two sides of the same blade.

“Victoria Jaguar is the book I’ve been waiting my whole career to write,” said London. “She’s been healing the world for two hundred years, and healers have always fought for their patients. Combat medics carry guns. Victoria carries the night sky. Somebody just declared war on her patients, and that was a mistake.”

London teased a terrifying new direction for the Underworld Universe, one inhabited by dream predators, immortal guardians and the things lurking on the other side of that sudden jolt before sleep takes hold.

“And Marco Rudy was born to paint this book,” London continued. “Every page comes back looking like a dream you don’t want to wake up from, right up until it becomes a nightmare you can’t. I write the words, but Marco paints the way sleep actually feels. I’ve never made anything like this before. November can’t get here fast enough.”

Rudy’s painted artwork gives the series an atmosphere that feels mystical, fluid and deeply unsettling. Figures emerge through layered colors and shifting forms, creating pages that sit somewhere between ancient prophecy and fever dream. The beauty pulls readers closer while the horror waits underneath with its teeth out.

That visual approach fits Victoria perfectly. She is a character caught between worlds, carrying centuries of history while confronting a threat capable of invading the most vulnerable place imaginable: the human mind. Her arrival opens the Underworld Universe to older legends and a new scale of supernatural danger without requiring readers to know every previous chapter.

Victoria Jaguar can stand alone as an entry point for newcomers while expanding the larger mysteries connecting Mad Cave’s growing supernatural line. Longtime readers, meanwhile, may want to keep their conspiracy boards close because an immortal guardian chosen by the Night Sky does not casually walk into a shared universe without shaking a few foundations.

Issue #1 will be offered with multiple collectible editions, including Covers B and C, a foil Cover D and a glow-in-the-dark Cover E. Artists for the additional covers will be announced later.

Victoria Jaguar #1 arrives in comic shops on November 11, 2026. The final order cutoff is October 19, giving readers time to contact their local comic shop and reserve a copy before this painted nightmare steps out of the darkness.

Ancient myths are waking up. Dream predators are circling. An immortal healer is preparing for war. Welcome back to the Underworld, mi gente. Sleep carefully.

Mark London says Victoria Jaguar has been living in his head for years, and the character’s roots go directly back to Colombia. He describes Victoria as a healer whose compassion has teeth, a two-hundred-year-old shaman who does not simply observe the supernatural from a safe distance. She goes straight at it.

Artist Marco Rudy is approaching the series as a fully painted visual experience rather than a conventional page-to-page superhero book. Rudy says the layouts, borders and design elements are all part of the storytelling, with extra visual details built into the pages for readers willing to slow down and explore them.

The creative team is Mark London on writing and creation, Marco Rudy on fully painted artwork and Pat Brosseau on letters. Victoria Jaguar #1 has a final order cutoff of October 19, 2026 and is scheduled to go on sale November 11, 2026.
