Kiana Ledé returns with her highly anticipated third studio album, Cut Ties (via her new partnership with BMG), a raw and personal narrative about the rise and fall of a relationship. Following the success of her latest singles “Natural” and “Space & Pussy,” this album takes listeners on an emotional journey through the highs and lows of love, attachment, and heartbreak, as Kiana transforms from being in love to becoming emotionally detached and empowered. To further immerse her fans in this journey, Kiana has released the official music video for “Space & Pussy,” which you can watch HERE. Cut Ties is available on all major streaming platforms; listen HERE.
“The album is about the death of a relationship and how hurt people hurt people,” Kiana explains. “You see why I turned into this person who’s okay with being detached and getting what I want, even if it hurts others.”
Cut Ties opens with “LTF” where Kiana revels in the intense passion of a new relationship. However, the emotional unraveling begins in “U Can’t Remember,” as she sings about the growing disconnection between her and her partner. In “Weakness,” Kiana reflects on her inability to let go of a toxic relationship, even when she knows it’s harmful. The turning point comes with the title track, “Cut Ties,” where she makes the empowering decision to walk away from the toxicity. As the album progresses, Kiana confronts how much she gave to the relationship, ultimately realizing her self-worth. The album closes with a cathartic release in “The Truth?” where Kiana confronts the lies and manipulation that kept her bound, reclaiming her power as she finally walks away for good.
