DELVE SURVIVORS TURNS EVERY STEP INTO A LIFE-OR-DEATH DECISION
·Gabriel Mateo

Yo, Crusaders, Delve Survivors is taking one of the most overworked ideas in gaming, throwing it onto a tactical grid, and somehow making it look fresh as hell. iDiOSLAB and NGJ Corporation have locked in the release dates, and this pixel-art dungeon crawl has one rule that instantly changes everything: time only moves when you move.

That sounds simple until the dungeon starts filling with monsters and every step becomes a decision between setting up a nasty combo or walking directly into your own funeral. There is no mindless circle-strafing while the screen vomits damage numbers everywhere. You have to read the grid, understand enemy movement, and decide exactly when to commit, because one sloppy move can cook an entire run.

The gear system is where this thing could really become FUEGO. Across nine main dungeons, players can mix attacks, skills, summons, and status effects while hunting Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique equipment. You can upgrade and combine that loot into specialized builds, which means the real fun will come from discovering some ridiculous setup that turns an impossible room into a monster blender.
The developers are aiming for tight 15-to-30-minute runs, and that is a smart lane for a game built around constant tactical decisions. Casual, Roguelike, and Hardcore modes also give players room to choose their preferred level of punishment. Sometimes you want to experiment and learn the systems; other times you want the game to slap the controller out of your hands and make you earn every square.

Delve Survivors launches in Version 1.0 on Steam on November 12, 2026, priced at $12.99. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions follow on January 21, 2027. Players attending Tokyo Game Show can also find it in the Indie Area at Hall 9, Booth NE93.

The survivors-like space is crowded enough to need traffic lights, but this movement-based tactical hook gives Delve Survivors its own identity before the first run even starts. If the builds carry real depth and the enemy patterns stay sharp, this could have that dangerous “one more run” charm that steals an entire night without asking permission. Yo, this sh*t looks fire. Keep it FUEGO!
